This past week we came together for the California Homeless Education Conference in San Diego 🤍

Day 1 was full of great energy from headshots to vendors getting set up and so many familiar and new faces coming together. We’re proud to be part of this work and grateful for everyone who showed up and poured into this space.

Year 4 and over 530 attendees made it special, with powerful and insightful workshops throughout the conference.

November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, a time to recognize the resilience of young people experiencing homelessness and the importance of providing them with the support and stability they deserve. 💚

Our Homeless Education distribution was a success! 🎉 Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers who spent the day loading up cars and vans with everything from school supplies to shampoo, squishmallows, shoes, and socks. ✨

It takes a village and ours showed up big time! 💙

Special shoutout to all the LEAs who came ready to load up and make sure your kiddos receive some well-deserved goodies! 🚐🎒

The Homeless Education Program invites adults working in youth serving systems to a unique gamified (but not a game) participation experience.

Youth experiencing homelessness, in foster care, and juvenile justice systems face complex challenges navigating services like education, social services, and more. The Youth Experiential Learning Simulation (YExLS) aims to bridge the gap between what systems provide and how youth actually experience them.

YExLS helps participants walk in the shoes of youth, understand their struggles, and work together to create real-world solutions. Join us to be part of this impactful journey! 🚶‍♂️💡

🎒✨ The LACOE HEP team along with our tabling neighbor had an amazing time today at the Resource Fair at middle school in !! We were thrilled to be part of this incredible event. Students received backpacks, school supplies, and we handed out books to support students' success. ✏️📚

A huge shoutout to the volunteers who provided free haircuts, and all other community partners that tabled to ensure our youth are ready for the new school year! 💇‍♂️💇‍♀️ Thank you for having us there on today. Together, we're building a brighter future! 🌟

📚✏️ Today’s Back to School Supplies Drive, hosted by and LACOE HEP’s CES team, with partners , , , , and was a success!

We loved to see the children get backpacks, school supplies, and resources to help every child start the new school year prepared and excited.

A special shoutout to School On Wheels for stepping in at the last minute to provide the backpacks—your support made a big difference! 🌟

Your donations will be sorted, organized, and placed in backpacks for K-12 students. Every item helps!

✨🎒 Saturday was amazing at the Back-To-School Extravaganza hosted by and !! They set Guinness World Records for longest line of backpacks and the most backpacks filled with school supplies in 1 hour! Families and students received backpacks, school supplies, shoes, haircuts, books, food 🍔🍦, and enjoyed some fun activities. Here’s to a fantastic school year! 📖✏️

🎒✨ Today had an incredible event where families of students experiencing homelessness came to pick up essential school uniforms, supplies, and hygiene products. It was heartwarming to see our community come together to support these amazing students as they prepare for the new school year. Thank you for all you do! 💙
