Born in Britain and raised in a musical Welsh family, Carol was a child prodigy who read music
before English. She began private lessons at age five and, by eight, performed organ recitals across
the UK, chauffeured by her father. Her formal training spanned five years at the Royal Academy of
Music, where she specialized in organ under David Sanger, earning the prestigious Recital Diploma,
an LRAM
in organ, and an LRAM in piano, while also studying harpsichord with Virginia Black. She
claimed all major organ performance prizes and, during her studies, became a Fellow of the Royal
College of Organists (FRCO), a Fellow of Trinity College London (FTCL), and an Associate of the
Royal College of Music (ARCM). Carol spent a year commuting from the UK to study with Daniel
Roth, organist at St. In the United States, she pursued postgraduate work at Yale
University under Professor Thomas Murray, receiving an Artist Diploma and the Charles Ives Prize for
outstanding achievement. She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) at the Manhattan
School of Music with Professor McNeil Robinson, graduating in 2001 with the Helen Cohn Award. Professional History:
