Oakland's Holy Names Campus to Become Housing Development Plans have been filed to redevelop Oakland's 60-acre former Holy Names University campus into a 165-home community while preserving its historic chapel and theater.

Hard to believe a year has passed since the university closed. I am blessed to have been part of the university community for 9 years. Great to continue relationships with some of the Holy Names sisters, faculty, staff and of course students.

Blessings to all as we celebrate Thanksgiving. In spite of the many challenges, we have much to be grateful for!

Greetings Holy Names University community! As we begin a new chapter for all of us, I wish you blessings. It is great to hear from many of you and that new doors are opening up for you. Let us continue to support one another.

How strange-I am not preparing for a student orientation, new student retreat, welcome mass, nor the welcome back mass. After 32 years as a Campus Minister here I am in a new place and on a new journey. In the midst of all the packing, moving, and unpacking, I know I need time to step back and process all of this. Time to grieve and let go, time to give thanks for all of the folks who have supported me. I also go forward in hope!

As part of our Holy Names University community, I invite you to take some quiet time to reflect on your journey.  What do you need to grieve? What are you thankful for? What gives you hope as you look to the future?
