The supplement industry doesn’t like me because I tell the truth. 👀
I don’t play nice with profiteering influencers, non-transparent “proprietary information” excuses, or shiny packaging/marketing that hides junk quality.
Here’s the part they hate:
1. Most supplements are NOT worth your money
2. Professional brand does NOT automatically mean better
3. If there’s no transparency, that's an automatic red flag
That’s exactly why I built Supplement Academy: to help health pros and consumers cut through the noise and spot the supplements that actually deserve a place on your shelf.
If my sharing the truth makes a supplement company nervous… well, that's a rather big red flag, isn't it?
My goal is to empower as many people around the world as possible to make better informed supplement choices, so I will continue to share the truth. 🥰

“Will colloidal silver turn you blue?” 😰
Short answer: it depends.
The scary stories around colloidal silver supplements usually trace back to one problem: POOR manufacturing. Homemade or improperly manufacturing colloidal silver can leave jagged nanoparticles that aren't safe to consume — and that’s where the real risk is.
The “Blue Man” case wasn’t some random fluke. It was a cautionary tale about homemade colloidal silver, not a reason to assume every colloidal silver supplement is problematic.
If you’re evaluating colloidal silver supplements, quality matters a lot:
1. How it’s manufactured
2. Whether the brand is transparent about their quality

$80 supplement. Another ineffective formula. 😬
When it comes to supplements, expensive does NOT mean better, just like "professional" or "practitioner-only" does NOT automatically mean better.
What actually matters when it comes to supplements is quite simple: TRANSPARENCY
For example...
1. Nutrient forms
3. Raw material quality
4. 3rd party test results
A fancy label and loud marketing can’t fix an ineffective nutrient form, low quality raw materials, or a supplement with no proof to back up a brand's quality claims.
If you’re comparing supplements, stop equating price with quality and start asking, “What’s in it — and does it actually do the job?”

Most supplement "information" is biased.
THE REALITY:
Less than 15% of supplements worldwide are actually worth taking (including practitioner only brands touted as "better"), most supplement trainings provided or sponsored by supplement companies agenda-biased, and crowdsourcing misses critical details like:
- Balanced and effective nutrient forms
- Contraindications
- Excipient considerations
- Manufacturing practices
Unfortunately, most health professionals learn about supplements from:
• Company-sponsored training (biased)
• Crowdsourcing online groups (crapshoot)
• General online research (incomplete)
• Chatting with AI (potential inaccuracy)
But you don't have to be like most health professionals!
By knowing better, we can DO better. When it comes to supplements, that starts with comprehensive education, free from affiliate bias and brand influence. Curriculum that encourages discerning critical thinking vs. trying to sell the falsehood that generic and ineffective supplements are the coolest thing since ice cream (they're not).
This allows us to make well-informed supplement choices for our patients and ourselves.💜

A best-seller can still be a junk supplement.
That’s the part people hate hearing.
Popular does NOT mean well-formulated, effective, or high-quality.
If a supplement is trending, ask these questions before buying
1. Effective nutrient forms?
2. Valid cited sources to back up formulation?
3. Transparent quality?
Your body doesn’t care how many influencers posted it or how well marketed it is. It cares about whether the product has the right form, dose, and quality.
Save this as a reminder for the next time a “must-have” supplement starts flooding your feed.

Did you know less than 15% of pet supplements are worth using (including the ones sold by vets)? 😬
For example, “natural” supplements usually contain synthetic nutrients because the term is unregulated.
When I was interviewed for episode 14 of my colleague Kara's Raw Remedies Health podcast, we talked about:
• Red flags on supplement labels
• Why synthetic nutrients fall short
• The truth about "inactive" ingredients
• How to spot quality pet supplements

Did you know the definition of "non-GMO" isn't regulated in USA supplements?
This means that any USA supplement company can claim they're non-GMO, but then decide what "non-GMO" means to them.
Unfortunately, the wide variety of "non-GMO" definitions being used in the USA supplement industry are broad, far-reaching, and quite...flexible, because it is essentially a meaningless marketing term (unless a USA supplement is actually non-GMO verified). 😬
It required one of my international supplement experts to repeatedly interview seven different USA supplement companies who *claimed* to be non-GMO before finding one that was actually sourcing non-GMO raw materials. 🤯
(I say "repeatedly" because when asked the hard questions, most supplement companies gaslight and won't answer directly when asked to prove their quality claims - HUGE red flags!)
But here's a truth bomb:
When it comes to supplements, unfortunately, this is how it is for EVERY quality standard! Heavy metals, microbiologicals, mycotoxins, etc.
Supplement companies can make any quality claims they want for marketing purposes, and there are no legal requirements for them to prove their quality claims are true. Legally, USA supplements are only required to meet GMP manufacturing practices.
THAT'S IT.
