Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Hubby crafted the perfect night!! We had the most romcom worthy dinner at ! Yummy food, great ambiance and wine🍷.

We made a cheers to each other with very beautiful words that I’ll keep between us two. And the celebrations are just getting started! has the whole weekend planned!! I’m such a lucky lady to spend all my days with this man. Heart overflowing 💖💖💖💖

I love a polka dot moment and I LOVE a jumpsuit! did their thang with this one! It’s so good that I can almost forget about the less than fabulous brown walls in the hotel room!

Whew! What a night and what a fast and furious trip to LA and back!

So many thank you’s to everyone involved in bringing a screening of Your Fat Friend Film to LA. I’m so grateful that I got to experience this film with fat community and some allies. And a big fat thank you to for having me on the post viewing panel. So much love to all the people who made this event so magical:

To my fat community: first of all… see this film!!! Your story matters. Know that our traumas are real, the stigma we experience is real and it’s all valid. But it’s not the end. You are seen, supported, worthy, and loved. Now is the time to dig in our heels and continue to create the equity and equality we all deserve. Let’s keep doing the work! Fat Liberation for ALL!! After the awful events last week, I needed some time to process the devastation I feel for not just me but all Black women. And all the marginalized people who are feeling hopeless and/or afraid.

I’m not going to lie and say that all of my hope is restored and know a path forward. I have zero answers or inspirational words. But I do know that every time I’m with fat community I walk away feeling better.

So LA friends join me on Wednesday for a special screening of Aubrey Gordon’s () thought-provoking film Your Fat Friend, A Film by Jeanie Finlay. It’s FREE and yours truly will be on a panel discussion after the screening with Tigress Osborn () Executive Director of NAAFA (), and Elizabeth Kilpatrick, VP of Development at Geena Davis Institute. Special thanks for for having me! 💖💖

This time 10 years ago we went on our 3rd or 4th date to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena CA and I already knew it was you. Even through the bad (very bad) haircut. Love you ! 💖
