Applications are open for White Center CDA’s Community E$$-cents Youth Internship!

This is a paid, six-week youth internship beginning February 12, and will explore the concept of financial wellness, its significance across our diverse communities, the ways finances impact our lives, and the framework of Community Cultural Wealth. Participants will also learn how to navigate different financial systems through a structured curriculum. The program will prioritize collaboration with and stories from inspiring local leaders, elders, business owners, educators, and entrepreneurs of White Center.
We are looking for:
💡 ~15 young adults ages 16–20 living in unincorporated King County
(Those under 16 do not qualify)
💡 Individuals committed to learning about financial wellness in relation to community well-being
💡 Participants available every Tuesday and Thursday for 90–120 minutes over 6 weeks (February 12–March 26)
💡 Full attendance is mandatory
💡Applicants must submit original responses based on their own experiences (An AI identifier will be used when reviewing essay responses)
Please note: If a participant is under 18, parental consent is required.

We are extending our Art 4 Life summer programming and we are looking for Teaching Artists!
This summer, we are collaborating with Amara Family services at their location in South Seattle - 3505 S Juneau St, Seattle, WA 98118. For two weeks, youth ages 11-18 will create music within a band and learn printmaking art with our established Teaching Artists, Classroom Assistants and Instrument/Vocal Coaches.
Program dates and times are:
July 6th - July 10th 9:30am - 4:00pm
July 13th - July 16th 9:30am - 4:00pm
July 17th 2:00pm- 9:00pm

🎨 FREE acrylic painting workshop this Sunday with ACES artist Carlos Martinez! Join Carlos at Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery in West Seattle for another great ACES Summer Series event: a hands-on workshop where you'll create your own 9x12 finished painting under Carlos's direction.
