BROOKES (REVISITED) by Architect and Professor Elgin Cleckley 😁

It reimagines historic drawings and models used to document the conditions aboard the Brookes Slave Ship. Cleckley and art historian and Samantha Noël will speak at the opening event. 📣

Detroit Mercy SACD and College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences are cohosting the exhibit and it is open to the public through February 27! ‼️

In today’s current climate let’s take the time to recognize the power we have in just our voice. To recognize as designers we are public servants and we must aim to seek peace and inclusion for all. 🫡 Although, MLK’s birthday has passed we use this day to remember his impact and vision for society.
