Hello, Bobcats!
Miss Alana ventured out this morning, after staying safe at home during yesterday's storms, and stopped by Butler Elementary School to check on the gardens. There was so much to see... a few things in particular.
Two GIANT MOUNDS of wood mulch have appeared on the playground! Please do not climb on (or in) them if you visit before they are spread under playground equipment. Safety first!
Our squash plants are growing EXPONENTIALLY. Some even have fruits! Miss Alana was so surprised to observe a beautiful cicada on a baby zucchini π!
Mark your calendars for another produce&popsicle giveawayπ

Say hello to Zachary! π
He is a Rochester High School student, and a Life Scout, working towards a Conservation Award through the Boy Scouts program.
Two weeks ago, he helped Miss Alana w**d a section of the monarch waystaytion/pollinator garden on the front lawn, put down compost, and planted three new milkw**d in the space. He did so much other work too!
Today, he planted five more milkw**d and helped apply a cubic yard of mulch. Guess what? He even helped with all of the clean up duties!
ZACHARY IS AWESOMEπ―π
