I installed “Moooi Wallcovering Extinct Animals” from ARTE in this little dining area. I wrapped the switch plates… then I wrapped the air conditioner! 😳 THAT was a first. It turned out nicely. 😎
I’m a Master Installer with DECADES of experience. I install all types of wallcovering, but specialize in high-end residential materials.

Installed “Tibet” in pale blue by Clarence House in this powder room today. This one requires liner paper, which I put up yesterday. Gorgeous!

This wallpaper is actually many overlapping pieces, hand-made and hand-painted. It was originally installed back in the 90’s. Time & moisture took a toll and this paper was literally falling off the walls! I’m so happy I was able to salvage and reinstall this for my client, Teena! Note the artists’ signature on the material…

I just finished installing “les lointains et bocage” by Zuber in an exclusive neighborhood just outside Seattle. This mural was nearly $30k 😱 It’s printed with hand-carved wooden blocks made in the 1870’s! These blocks are registered historical artifacts in France. 🇫🇷 Amazing!
Other rooms in this house were installed by someone else, but that person was unwilling (or unqualified) to attempt this. “Above his pay grade” is what I was told. 🤷🏻♂️
Murals this expensive don’t come up often. But when they do, I’m the guy to call. 👊🏻 I do several every year.

From the last few days: A gorgeous mystery mural in a master bedroom (I wasn’t given any paperwork 🤷🏻♂️)… a striking “Ikat” print by Milton & King to liven up an office space… some “Star Dust Silk” from Phillip Jeffries (another bedroom)… and a stunning Schumacher “Brighton Pavilion” print in a powder room.
I installed the silk at the top of the Four Seasons in downtown Seattle. I have now worked in every penthouse suite there! 🙌🏼

Installed two products from Pierre Frey in a pair of home offices this week. I’ve worked for this family & designer before.
The blue paper was damaged during shipping, but I was able to finish the room with some creative trimming!
Since I had to make the sheets narrower, I needed more sheets to finish the room than I had originally planned on. This is a perfect example of why you should always order extra material.
I’m so happy to be able to finish these rooms for a repeat customer!

Installed “Rift” wallpaper, metallic gold on lapis lazuli blue, by Manuka Textiles.
Does it look more like cliffs or an Aurora? 🤔
This material is screen printed by hand and requires custom trimming of the edges.
Tinting the primer is ideal for dark colors. If the seams open up down the road, this powder room will still look good!

Installed some gorgeous 🤩 materials throughout this condo at the Cristalla downtown.
I spent a couple of days on Bainbridge Island adding 3 gold toned papers to a beautiful house overlooking Puget Sound! The zebras are a popular Scalamandré design. Screen printed materials like that require a special handling and are time consuming to install well. But it’s worth it!
This project was postponed until I was personally available! I’m excited to be working at such an exclusive residence. I’m putting in fabrics from Phillip Jeffries, Maya Romanoff, & Rose Tarlow. Check in at the end of next week to see all the rooms completed!

Here are a few highlights from one of the homes I worked in this week. A mural from Area Environments, a simple print from Milton & King, and an Andy Warhol “flavor paper” design on mylar.
I actually did seven different installations this week! I do several on most weeks, actually. But I only post the more interesting ones.
I hope my posts give you a better idea of what some completed rooms look like. It can be hard to visualize from samples.
