HARC participated in the AliefVotes Youth Conference on Saturday, June 13 - and it was a FULL house! 🌟
At the HARC table, we shared resources from ForUsTree to educate community members about tree planting and future giveaway opportunities, while also highlighting Houston’s heat data and the importance of building climate resilience at the neighborhood level.
We were proud to join a strong network of organizations making a meaningful impact across the community. Attendees heard about incredible work from keynote speakers Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas, Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones, and Commissioner Dexter McCoy.

🌎🌱 This World Environment Day, we’re reminded that building a healthier, more sustainable future starts with the choices we make today.
At HARC, we’re proud to work alongside communities, researchers, partners, and organizations to advance solutions that improve environmental health, strengthen resilience, and create a more sustainable future for all.
From expanding urban tree canopy and mapping extreme heat, to advancing renewable energy, improving water quality, and supporting nature-based solutions, our work is rooted in the belief that science, collaboration, and innovation can help communities thrive in the face of growing environmental changes.
On this World Environment Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to connect with the environment around them and consider the role we can all play in protecting it. Not just for today, but for future generations.
