Wait… this is the SAME space?! 👀
Before-and-after transformations never get old.
A fresh space can completely change how students experience learning, from the way they collaborate to the way they feel walking through the door.
And honestly, seeing the reaction from students and educators is always the best part.
New energy. New opportunities. Same mission. 💙

Volunteers make transformation possible.
From organizing materials to supporting program days and helping bring learning spaces to life, their time and energy directly impact students and communities.
These contributions may happen in a single day, but their effects last far beyond it.
We’re deeply grateful for every volunteer who shows up ready to make a difference.

Juneteenth is a reminder of resilience, progress, and the continued work toward equity in every community.
It’s a day to honor history, reflect on how far we’ve come, and recognize the importance of creating opportunities where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
Today we celebrate freedom, honor the significance of the day, and continue the work ahead.

School may pause for summer, but educators never really stop showing up.
They’re leading camps, supporting summer programs, mentoring students, organizing activities, recommending books, and creating spaces where kids stay connected and inspired all season long.
And honestly? A lot of students remember those summer moments forever.
The teacher who encouraged them.
The librarian who helped them find a new favorite book.
The mentor who made learning feel fun again.
That impact doesn’t disappear in June. 💙

Students can experience a “summer slide,” where test scores often flatten or decline over the summer months, especially in math, where declines tend to be larger than in reading. 📉
That’s why summer programs, libraries, community spaces, and after-school activities matter so much. Learning keeps going long after the school year ends. ☀️
Whether it’s reading programs, STEM activities, arts initiatives, or simply having a safe place to learn and create, these experiences help students stay connected and keep momentum going into the next school year.
Summer learning doesn’t have to feel like school to make a difference. Sometimes it looks like building something, exploring a new hobby, or discovering a new passion alongside friends.
That’s what all in on learning looks like. ☀️

Baltimore showed up in a big way. 🐦💜
On June 3, we partnered with the Baltimore Ravens and the Ravens Foundation to transform the Virginia Baker Recreation Center and officially launch the new Catalyst Center at Patterson Park.
Together with 200+ volunteers, we brought new energy, color, and purpose to a space that will now support hands-on STEAM learning, robotics, coding, environmental science, early childhood programming, and outdoor nature-based education.
From refreshed indoor learning areas to updated technology, flexible furniture, garden spaces, and outdoor improvements, every detail reflected a shared commitment to Baltimore’s youth.
What made the day even more powerful was seeing the transformation happen in real time, neighbors, partners, city leaders, and volunteers working side by side.
This project was about more than a renovation. It was about expanding opportunity, strengthening community spaces, and investing in the next generation.
We’re grateful to the Ravens Foundation, the City of Baltimore, and everyone who helped make this milestone possible.
Baltimore, thank you for being part of it. 💜
