We built an off the grid property in beautiful St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands out of a school b If you live in St. Kinda sounds like a song right?

The One Love Bus is our pride and joy and we are so excited to share with you the story of creating our home in the Virgin Islands! Thomas you may have heard the rumors, and yes they are true, we have followed our dreams and are living sustainably, in our eco-friendly school bus by the bay. We feel so blessed to be living on such an enchanted property, that we lovingly refer to as Valhalla, and wa

The magic of the season continues!

If you look closely here you’ll see our bunk house right behind the bus. Having this second tiny house on our property is really what makes living tiny doable for us. We will post more about our bunk house soon. It just never really looks presentable enough for a picture and we are still wrapping up some projects in that space 🤪.

Second times a charm! Or how does the saying go 🤔Either way we scored another Christmas tree and are so happy about that. We cut a couple inches off the trunk and are giving it a good drink of water before brining it into the bus 🚌 this time...thank you to everyone who helped give us some tips yesterday. Caribbean Christmas 2019 shall continue!

The holiday spirit is contagious when we are around this boy!

We have a little bit of a snafu though...our tree is dead. Like completely DEAD. This photo was taken the night we put the tree up a week and a half ago. We have always had a real tree, kept in the same spot of our bus, that does get a lot of sun, but we are pretty good about keeping it watered and giving it lots of love. We are totally perplexed by this and I am on the hunt for another real tree on island today because we must keep the magic alive!

Has anyone ever seen a tree quit this quickly?! If you have any tips, please fill us in 👇because we can’t screw this up again.❤️💛💚 @ Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands

✨Good morning sunshine!✨Alright guys, I’m getting the impression that I need to back off with the baby pictures 🤣So I thought I’d switch gears and take a moment to introduce you to our loyal protector Maho. 🐾Everyone loves a cute right? This pup is everything you would ever want in a dog and then some. She was our first born our “fur baby” and we have had many awesome adventures together. She was our cross country travel companion and our beach babe, and the mascot of our businesses. She has been by our side through it all, the ups and the downs. As of recently life has definitely slowed down some for girl as she ages and we keep having children 🤪. She is by far the most well behaved of the family and even if we don’t seem to have the time to spend with her that we used to, she still loves us unconditionally. • The other day my sister in law mentioned she hadn’t seen a picture of Maho in a while. That sort of struck a cord. So here is our black beauty. Hopefully you all dig this shot, because the last baby shot I put up didn’t seem to go over very well here 🤣I’m working on figuring out what you guys like again, got to get back on my IG game so to speak 😉

Babies, pups, bus, life off the grid? What do you want to see here? What questions do you guys have?

Have a blessed day! ❤️💛💚

Got the family out the door! Every morning a mini storm blows through with the frenzy of getting Captain Joe and Joey ready for school/ work. I wanted to share with you a real life situation of living in a tiny home. You can mess it up quickly 😉Luckily I work from home and it doesn’t take me too long to pick it up. ❤️💛💚Does a similar scene unfold at your house in the morning? @ Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands

To see the spirit of the holidays through the eyes of a three year old is simply the best 😍. We are really loving this holiday season with little Joey. He is ready to get his hands into everything. He loves helping with the decorating and the cooking and when you ask him what he wants for Christmas he stares blankly at us🤷🏼‍♀️. So cute and innocent😇Who cares that it takes 2x as long to do everything and there’s likely to be a mess😜?
He helped dad put up some lights around the bus and bunk house. Only 2 bulbs broke 😬We have spares, cleaned up the mess and gave him high-fives for helping out.
💡I want to tell you about these lights though...ya’ll they are the bomb. They are LED so they don’t pull much power and they come with a remote to turn them on/ off or dim them talk about simple. Gotta love that...

The day after and we woke up on cloud nine still so Thankful! 🙏Eight weeks ago our hearts nearly exploded when we welcomed the newest Bus Billie, Lola Lucille Trattner to the world. ❤️💛💚We are so grateful for this beautiful life, the people who have supported us and the freedom to live uniquely. Hope you are enjoying some leftovers today and quality time with those you love. Cheers to the holiday season!!

Let the light shine in!
When designing our tiny space we kept in mind our love for clean site lines, the colorfulness of the Caribbean and the comfortable laid back boho vibe. We were able to accomplish this and meet the needs of everyone in the family. 🙌👪🐾 No matter what stage you are in, building, rebuilding, renovating, happy designing to you!

Just a couple of mamas taking in a quiet moment...Ahhhh so nice!

It was a special night under the lights at the bus. We celebrated my 34th lap around the sun with the best company a girl could ask for 😉. My mama is in town and made one of my favorite childhood meals, Thai coconut curry chicken..it was so yummy! It’s all about the little things in life and the love that surrounds you. Grateful for my tribe. Thank you to all who sent me birthday wishes. One Love! ❤️💛💚
