If the return of skinny era has left you feeling disheartened, you’re not alone.
I’m in the process of building out a bunch of resources to help, and this work will mostly live on YouTube and Substack.

Body image is not just about how you look, but how you inhabit your body.
Personal style works on both levels:
Dressing with a point of view IS assertiveness.
Considering how you want to feel each day and choosing clothes that reflect that IS attunement.
Dressing like someone who is playful and courageous IS the stepping stone to truly embodying that yourself.
Will some people consider it shallow and frivolous? Maybe.
But do I wanna create accessible entry points to help people cultivate a more empowering relationship with themselves AND strengthen my own compassion in the process?
Most definitely.
Coaching can feel like big commitment, and the role of your marketing strategy is to make that process less threatening.
Have you offered a high quality freebie that provides de-shaming psycho-education so they stop blaming themselves for being stuck, and see their potential for change?
Are you showing up authentically with warmth and a bit of silliness so they can see that you are a regular human being not an authoritative expert?
Have you shown them how you have helped other people in similar circumstances make changes - and crucially, why your process is effective when what they’ve tried wasn’t?
Have you provided a lower cost commitment (mini course, single consultation) that someone can try to build trust first?
Are you regularly speaking to the threat-based hesitations that pull someone away from taking values-aligned action?
Have you done this consistently over a long period of time?
Your threat system has a narrow way of looking at things, but there are so many opportunities to strengthen your marketing strategy.
If you’re stuck, try auditing your current approach and implementing one of the above suggestions!

Building a business will surface every unresolved pattern and challenge you to work on it.
I have mentored hundreds of coaches, and it’s often the inner blocks that hold you back from deciding on a strategy and implementing it.
If you’re done playing small, start by observing yourself whenever you get stuck.
Maybe it’s creating and posting content,
Or maybe it’s pitching your coaching and getting zero inquiries.
Literally grab a notebook and start monitoring yourself.
What thoughts do you notice?
What feelings are present?
Whats your body telling you?
What actions do you take in response to that?
That’s where the work is.

Most of the coaches we support inside supervision are terrified of making a mistake.
By the end of the six months, they’re taking more risks.
They can see their areas for growth, but they don’t feel panicked or rushed to figure it all out.
They show up for the clients they know they can help.
That courage isn’t built by watching more lectures.
It comes from having a supportive place to practice your skills - and explore your fears of getting it wrong.
Evolve closes on Friday.
If you know you could be using your strengths to help others, it’s time to take your next step.
The industry IS changing.
But is our education keeping up?
GLP-1s are a hot topic right now, but the psychology underneath our client goals is nothing new.
As a nutritionist with a diploma in compassion focused therapy, that gap is what I’ve been educating coaches on for years.
What do you think?
Will GLP-1s fuel the shift the industry needs?

When I first started out as a coach, I had very little money to invest.
I literally couch surfed for the first 10 months, and invested everything I had into my learning and development.
I was four years into business before ever investing in marketing, because I didn’t want to gamble my money on business bros.
So I stuck to the more reliable investment: building the skills that actually compound.
Supervision has had the biggest ROI in my own business.
Not just for the coaching skills, but how it’s helped me become more secure in myself.
Opportunities for supervision are sparse in the coaching industry, especially when you’re supporting client body image and relationship with food.
So Maya Robinson | Disordered Eating & Body Image Coach | Mentor and I built Evolve.
If you want to build a sustainable coaching business, the foundations need to be secure.
Becoming more grounded in yourself, and the service you provide to clients.
That’s what we build in Evolve.
