Below are our 2025 Projects. We plan on helping 8 schools with a total of 3,510 students.

Dear Friends,

Every time we think the situation in Lebanon can’t get any worse, it does. For those of us who watch from afar, it’s heartbreaking, but for those who are caught up in it, it’s devastating.

Once again, the eyes of the world are on this small country where the cycle of violence keeps spiraling.

Today, many of the schools EOL supports are overwhelmed with scared families sheltering there and in the parish buildings.

These people are hungry, tired and traumatized. There is nothing that they don’t need.

EOL is helping by raising funds for:

Bedding — mattresses, blankets, pillow — for 2,000 people. The cost of bedding for 1 person is $45.

Trauma counseling for 500 children and their mothers. This mother/child service costs $100 for three months.

Dear Friends,

I write to you with a heavy heart on the first anniversary of the Beirut port explosion, which killed over 200 people and left 300,000 with no place to live.

We had hoped that this commemoration might be coupled with good news — the story of Lebanon in recovery — but, sadly, that is not the case. Lebanese society remains in turmoil, with an ineffective government and a currency in freefall.

The challenges may seem insurmountable. But then I remember the students I’ve met, and their tremendous hope and optimism. Many of them know their country’s dire situation, but are eager to learn the skills they’ll need to help rebuild it.

For these students, most of whom cannot afford to stay in school, Education & Opportunities for Lebanon (EOL) is their lifeline. Countless parents have lost their jobs, and can hardly cover the cost of food, rent and medicine — let alone tuition.

As the school year resumes in a few short weeks, I’m writing to ask for your help to keep these students in school. There is no better time to give. In fact, because of the currency crisis, your dollar will go even further. Just $150 can keep a child in school for a whole year.

One of Lebanon’s strengths has been education — and now it’s at risk. Although it is important to help with food, shelter and medicine, unless we invest in the future, Lebanon will not have one.

EOL was started in 2006 to by a few amazing individuals who wanted to give back to Lebanon and realized how much of an impact education has on giving a bright future

This year due to we cannot and unfortunately the situation in Lebanon is more dire than ever. This year in lieu of a dinner ticket, please consider donating to help keep children in school

“The gaunt parents entered my office and said they needed to withdraw their daughter from school because they could no longer afford her tuition—in fact they were barely able to feed their family.

"They reluctantly complied when I asked them to sit. I pulled out my EOL file and saw their daughter’s name on it. When I told them a donor in America had paid her tuition, they looked at me in disbelief and immediately began to sob. They could not fathom how a stranger gave their child an education and a better chance in life.

"I wish I could say this was a one-time incident, but it isn’t. They are among the lucky ones—someone cared. I know this donor, who is anonymous to them, is forever in their prayers.”
