At today’s National Youth Day event held in Soweto and led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, Higher Health SA demonstrated its commitment to inclusive healthcare by providing health and wellness services to Persons Living with Disabilities from the surrounding community.
Through the Higher Health mobile clinic, many community members accessed essential services, including routine health checks such as blood pressure and diabetes screening, HIV, TB and STI screening and testing, GBV screening, as well as mental health screening and counselling support.
It was inspiring to see Persons Living with Disabilities visiting the Higher Health mobile clinic to access these services. The team attended to many individuals throughout the day and remains committed to ensuring that all people are welcomed, supported, and accommodated with dignity and respect.
Higher Health believes that no one should be left behind. Our focus on disability inclusion and promoting the meaningful participation of Persons Living with Disabilities in society remains a key priority.
