A Day of Celebration, Achievement, and Excellence!

Yesterday was truly a memorable day for our school community as we celebrated both Denim & Goggles Day and World Environment Day (Chongololo), creating wonderful opportunities for learning, fun, and environmental awareness.

Adding to the excitement, our Secondary School learners travelled to Ndola Trust School to participate in the CSA Inter-Schools Ball Games, where they proudly represented Luanshya Trust School with determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

We are delighted to announce that our girls emerged as the 2026 CSA Junior Netball Champions, securing Gold Medals and bringing home the Championship Trophy! 🥇🏆

This outstanding achievement is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and dedication of our learners, as well as the unwavering commitment of their coaches.

Congratulations to our champions for making us proud and for demonstrating the true spirit of excellence both on and off the court. We celebrate your success and look forward to many more achievements ahead!

🌍 World Environment Day 2026 🌱

Yesterday, our School Conservation Club, Chingololo, proudly joined the Environmental Department of Luanshya Copper Mines (CLM) in commemorating World Environment Day in Chingola under the theme:

"Accelerating Zambia's Climate Action for Green Growth and Sustainability."

World Environment Day, celebrated annually on June 5th and led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is the world's largest platform for environmental awareness and action. It encourages governments, organizations, communities, and individuals to work together in protecting our planet for future generations.

We are especially proud that Luanshya Trust School was the only primary school represented at this important event, highlighting our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Through the Chingololo Conservation Club, our learners continue to develop a deep appreciation for nature and understand the vital role they play in creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.

A sincere thank you to Luanshya Copper Mines (CLM) for providing our learners with this valuable opportunity to participate, learn, and contribute to environmental action.

Attention Parents! 🚨
Tomorrow, our learners will be trading their usual school look for a splash of denim, a touch of style, and a whole lot of smiles!

Please remember to send your child dressed in their favourite denim outfit and goggles as we celebrate Denim & Goggles Day in true Luanshya Trust School fashion!

Alumni Spotlight

Today, we proudly celebrate Dr Besa Mulenga, a dedicated medical professional and proud alumnus of Luanshya Trust School.

Dr Besa Mulenga attended Luanshya Trust School from 2009 to 2010, during his Grade 8 and 9 Mercury years. His time at the school helped build the strong academic and personal foundation that continues to guide him in his medical journey today.

Currently based in Luanshya, Dr Mulenga is working at Ndola Teaching Hospital as a Surgeon in Training under the Copperbelt University School of Medicine, where he is pursuing a Master of Medicine in General Surgery.

His commitment to healthcare, discipline, and continuous learning reflects the values of excellence and determination nurtured during his years at Luanshya Trust School.

We are proud to celebrate Dr Besa Mulenga and the important contribution he is making in the medical field.
