Olive Park School held elections to choose prefects, a head boy and a head girl. This initiative is in line with the new competence-based curriculum, which places emphasis on practical life skills. The learners were able to experience the democratic process first hand.
The aspiring candidates were all given an opportunity to present their manifestos to the electorate before voting day.
