💔 We strongly condemn the recent violent clashes in Zambezi District between the Lunda and Luvale communities.
The attacks, which left people injured, homes destroyed, and cultural celebrations disrupted, are a painful reminder of how quickly division can rob us of the beauty of our shared heritage. Violence, whether through words, actions, or weapons, can never be the answer.
As a people, we must rise above tribal lines and stand united as Zambians first. Our diversity in language, traditions, and culture is not a weakness — it is our greatest strength. The Likumbi Lyamize Traditional Ceremony should be a time of celebration, not conflict.
We commend the swift action of the Zambia Police in restoring order and call upon leaders, youths, and elders from all sides to champion peace, tolerance, and dialogue. 🙏
✨ Our project stands as proof that language and culture should be tools for connection, not division. We believe that learning, appreciating, and respecting each other’s languages can help heal wounds and break the cycle of tribalism.
Let us choose peace over violence, unity over division, and dialogue over hatred. Zambia’s future depends on it. 🇿🇲✨
