Good morning team.

We received the information late that we were required to be in Lusaka for the interview. At the time, we were in the field at Chiundaponde distributing chickens to the people.

Despite the short notice, we remained determined to move forward and continue serving the people. As of 07:04 hours today, we successfully arrived in Lusaka to attend the interview for the Council Chairperson position for Lavushimanda District.

As a law graduate, I have not come before the panel merely to defend myself academically, but to speak the truth about what I have seen on the ground and what I intend to do for our people. Leadership is about service, action, and understanding the challenges people face daily.

We are leaders who do not post from blankets, but from the field because we believe in working with the people and for the people.

I would like to sincerely thank the Ward Leadership, Constituency Leadership, and District Leadership of Lavushimanda for teaching me this kind of leadership. Indeed, you have groomed your own son, and today he is ready to serve the people diligently and faithfully.

However, whoever will be adopted, we remain committed and united under UPND. The final decision will not be made by us, but by the panel entrusted with that responsibility.

Together, we move forward for a better Lavushimanda District.

Today, Dr. Mooya Philimon, aspiring Council Chairperson for Lavushimanda District, conducted a successful visit to Mabonga Polling Station in Chikanda Ward.

Thereafter, he interacted with the people, where he clearly articulated his vision and priorities as he campaigns for the position of Council Chairperson. He emphasized inclusive development, improved service delivery, and leadership that is people-centered.

Dr. Philimon called on the community to support his candidature, assuring them of transparency, accountability, and real development on the ground.

Yesterday, 3rd May 2026, Dr. Mooya Philimon, aspiring Council Chairperson for Lavushimanda District under UPND, conducted a successful community engagement in Spoon Village, Mutinondo Ward.

The meeting recorded strong attendance and active participation from community members, reflecting growing trust and confidence in his leadership. Residents engaged openly on key developmental issues affecting the area, emphasizing the need for effective and accountable leadership.

Demonstrating his commitment to practical development, Dr. Philimon donated 15 bags of cement towards the construction of the storage depot for FRA, aimed at enhancing support for local farmers and improving food security.

Dr. Philimon reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development, improved service delivery, and empowering communities across Lavushimanda. The response from Spoon Village is a clear indication that the people are ready for focused and transformative leadership.
