Nomakhwezi Nkomo, a 14-year-old Townseng Girls High School student , committed su***de after her mother told her to do her schoolwork before watching television.
Noma hanged herself with her younger brother’s belt from a screen door at their home in Sunninghill, Bulawayo.
Noma's father described her as a gentle, reserved and obedient child, who was responsible as the eldest child and always took care of her younger brothers.

Being a student is stressful, but trying to juggle school work and other responsibilities while experiencing depression can make it even harder.

This is why I am advocating for student depression awareness. Way forward is to equip the vulnerable with a positive mind to boost self efficacy. Goal is to spread this gospel to at least 10 000 student, educators and guardians. SAVE LIVES. Tell a friend to tell a friend to join the
