MASVINGO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS⚽
Gutu High School U16 Soccer Team has done it. On 29 May 2026, the boys stormed Mucheke Stadium and thrashed their opponents to be crowned Masvingo Provincial Champions.
The mission is not over. Our champions now shift focus to the National Championships set for 17-20June 2026 at the same venue, Mucheke Stadium.
One province conquered. One nation to conquer.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of one of our bright young stars, Panashe Mubako, a Form 1 student here at Gutu High School.
Panashe passed away recently following a short illness. Though his time with us was far too brief, he had already made a lasting impression on his teachers and peers alike. He was known not only for his exceptional academic potential but also for his kind spirit and the bright future that lay ahead of him.
The loss of such a young, promising life is a pain felt by the entire Gutu High community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mubako family during this incredibly difficult time.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear."
Rest in eternal peace, Panashe. You will be greatly missed.

A Brief History of Chinhoyi Caves
The Chinhoyi Caves (originally known as Chirorodziva, "Pool of the Fallen") are a group of limestone and dolomite caves located in north-central Zimbabwe.
Ancient Origins: The caves have been used by local communities for centuries. Archaeological evidence, including pottery and human remains, suggests they were inhabited as early as 650 AD.
The Legend of Chirorodziva: The name "Pool of the Fallen" comes from a dark chapter in the 1830s. Legend says that an outlaw named Nyamakwere used the caves as a stronghold, throwing his victims into the "Silent Pool." Later, the Angoni tribe surprised the local people hiding in the caves and threw them into the water.
The Sleeping Giant: The main attraction is the Sleeping Pool, a natural sinkhole with incredibly clear, cobalt-blue water. It maintains a constant temperature of about 25°C (77°F) year-round and reaches depths of over 172 meters.
Modern Era: In 1955, the caves were designated a National Park. Today, they are a world-renowned destination for technical scuba divers and tourists seeking a glimpse into Zimbabwe's mystical subterranean world.
