Congratulations to all the participants and winners of The Big Pitch 2026 at GIIS Abu Dhabi, where 350 students from 12 schools across the UAE came together to showcase their creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Every participant contributed to the event’s vibrant atmosphere, demonstrating courage, teamwork, and a passion for learning. Special applause goes to the prize winners for their outstanding achievements, with Dunes International School proudly emerging as the Overall Trophy Winner for its exceptional performance across multiple events and categories. GIIS Abu Dhabi also delivered a remarkable performance, securing multiple podium finishes and reflecting its commitment to nurturing future-ready change-makers.

Learning came to life in the most joyful way as students of Grades 1 and 2, along with their parents, participated in a series of engaging activities that celebrated creativity, curiosity, wellness, and collaboration. From preparing healthy snacks and showcasing talents through music, dance, and storytelling to exploring the wonders of science through hands-on experiments, each experience encouraged children to learn, create, and grow with confidence. The enthusiastic participation of families made these activities even more meaningful, strengthening the home-school partnership while fostering holistic development and a love for lifelong learning.

Celebrating the beauty of language and the art of penmanship, the Hindi Department of GIIS Abu Dhabi organised a Hindi Handwriting Competition for students from Grades 1 to 4. With great enthusiasm, participants carefully transcribed a selected Hindi passage, showcasing their neatness, focus, and love for the language. More than just a writing activity, the competition encouraged students to strengthen their Hindi skills while appreciating the value of clear and beautiful handwriting.

Innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit took centre stage at The Big Pitch 2026, where over 350 students from 13 schools across the UAE came together to showcase bold ideas and creative solutions under the theme “Al Sumud – Rooted in UAE, Rising with Resilience.” Through challenges spanning podcasting, digital media, social impact, storytelling, and business, participants demonstrated exceptional confidence, ingenuity, and leadership.

Ahead of Father’s Day GIIS Abu Dhabi celebrated the occasion with warmth, creativity, and plenty of smiles. In Kindergarten, students were delighted to welcome their fathers to school, where they enjoyed engaging classroom activities, fun games, and meaningful moments together. Grades 3 and 4 students expressed their love and appreciation through beautifully handcrafted cards filled with heartfelt messages, while Grade 2 students marked the occasion during their Bagless Day by creating colourful photo frames and thoughtful greeting cards for their fathers. Every creation reflected the children’s gratitude, affection, and creativity, making the celebration truly special. Filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories, the day beautifully strengthened the bond between fathers and their children.
