Together for a Greener Tomorrow!
GIS Kindergarten celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm. Throughout the week, at the Creative Learning Centre, our KG1 and KG2 students participated in engaging hands-on activities that promoted environmental awareness and sustainable living.
KG1 students explored themes such as saying no to plastic, using paper and cloth bags, reusable steel items, putting trash in the dustbin and saving water.
KG2 students learned about waste segregation through recycling bins, keeping oceans clean and eco-friendly shopping with paper bags.
In their classrooms, they created beautiful environment-themed artworks.
To mark the occasion, all our little learners came dressed in blue, symbolizing their love and commitment to protecting our planet. Together, they learned that small actions can create a big impact for a greener future.

🌍 World Environment Day Awareness Activity : "Guess the Waste" 🌱
As part of World Environment Day celebrations, GIS Eco Club Council Members conducted an interactive awareness activity, "Guess the Waste," for students across Grades 3–8.
Through a fun quiz, students identified waste items as Compostable, Recyclable, or Non-Recyclable, promoting awareness about proper waste segregation and sustainable practices.
The activity encouraged enthusiastic participation, meaningful discussions, and a greater understanding of environmental responsibility.

🌱 School Herbal Garden Initiative Launched on World Environment Day 🌱
As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the GIS Eco Club, in association with the Global Ajman Leo Club, launched the School Herbal Garden Initiative under the theme "Grow Green, Learn Green."
The initiative brought together students from across different phases of the school to participate in a meaningful hands-on learning experience focused on sustainability, environmental responsibility, and healthy living.
Students enthusiastically engaged in planting a variety of herbs, learning about their uses, and understanding the role plants play in promoting biodiversity and well-being. The herbal garden has been designed to include medicinal herbs, kitchen herbs, fragrant and pollinator-friendly plants, along with a dedicated composting and maintenance area that will be cared for by Eco Club members.
The event provided students with an opportunity to connect with nature, develop teamwork skills, and gain practical knowledge about sustainable gardening practices. The active involvement of students, teachers, Eco Club members, and representatives of the Global Ajman Leo Club made the initiative a memorable and impactful experience.
The School Herbal Garden will continue to serve as a living learning space, inspiring students to nurture the environment and become responsible stewards of a greener future.

The "Supernova" Science and Astronomy Quiz was an electrifying highlight of the Science Thematic Week at Global Indian School, Ajman. Designed for Grades 6 to 9, the event challenged students to explore the wonders of the universe, covering topics from planetary systems and space exploration to historical scientific milestones.
Through a dynamic mix of rapid-fire rounds, visual identification, and problem-solving, students showcased remarkable teamwork, critical thinking, and a sharp aptitude for science. Beyond the competition, the event fostered a vibrant spirit of inquiry and discovery, successfully inspiring young minds to look toward the stars and appreciate the vital role of science in our world. 🌟🔭

As part of the Science Thematic Month – May 2026, students actively participated in engaging and informative activities promoting scientific awareness, healthy living, and critical thinking.
Grade 11 students conducted a thought-provoking debate on “Smart Tech for Smarter Living”, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of technologies such as AI, IoT, and automation in daily life. The session encouraged analytical thinking and enthusiastic participation among students.
A Fireless Cooking & Healthy Diet Awareness Programme was also organized for Grades 6 and 7, featuring interactive presentations, quizzes, puzzles, and discussions on balanced nutrition, hygiene, vitamins, and healthy food choices.
As part of the “Eat a Rainbow” activity, students prepared colorful fruit jars and explored the importance of balanced nutrition through fun hands-on learning experiences.
Students of Grade 7 further participated in a Sweet Corn Chaat Activity, preparing colorful salads using vegetables and corn. The activity helped students understand healthy eating habits while also promoting teamwork, collaboration, and the joy of sharing. 🍎🥗🌽🔬✨
Awareness Programme for Balanced Diet & Healthy Food was conducted by Grade 11 to educate students about the importance of nutritious food, healthy eating habits, hygiene, vitamins, and balanced nutrition. Through interactive presentations, discussions, quizzes, and puzzles, students gained valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle and making informed food choices.

We are proud to share a remarkable achievement of our talented student, Farzeen Mariam from grade 2C, who has been honoured with a certificate and medal from the prestigious Asia Book of Records for participating in a record-setting event.
Farzeen was a part of the “Multilingual Karaoke Singing Relay” organized by the Heart Winners Group in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. The event, titled “Geetmala Season 3,” witnessed the participation of 103 singers performing in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and English in a relay format for an incredible duration of 9 hours, 19 minutes, and 21 seconds.
We congratulate her on being part of this memorable achievement and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors.
