Saturday Morning at ARTESOL Annual Convention 2026 ☀️📚

The second day of ARTESOL 2026 began with energy, reflection, and inspiration. After a revitalizing Yoga Activate session, participants explored a wide range of topics that invited us to rethink our roles as educators and leaders.

From creating fearless learning environments and rehumanizing our teaching practices to exploring project-based learning, identity in teacher development, and the connection between technology, emotions, and learning, every session encouraged us to keep pushing boundaries and growing professionally. ✨

As our convention theme, “Daring to Go Beyond,” reminds us, meaningful innovation begins when we dare to question, connect, and transform our practice together. 🌎💙

ARTESOL 2026 was held at the Universidad Católica de Santa Fe under the theme “Daring to Go Beyond.”

Friday at ARTESOL Annual Convention 2026 reminded us that going beyond means embracing both innovation and humanity.

Throughout the day, educators engaged in thought-provoking sessions on AI, student-centered learning, inclusion, social-emotional learning, literacy, cultural awareness, and teacher well-being. Each presentation offered new perspectives, practical ideas, and opportunities to reflect on the evolving role of education.

As the convention drew to a close, we were gifted a truly memorable moment: the performance of the Youth Choir of the Catholic University of Santa Fe. Their voices brought warmth, emotion, and a sense of community that perfectly captured the spirit of ARTESOL—learning together, growing together, and celebrating the connections that make our profession so meaningful.

A beautiful ending to a day filled with inspiration, collaboration, and the shared commitment to continue daring to go beyond.

Participants explored a wide range of topics that are shaping the future of English language teaching: AI in education, global issues in the classroom, social-emotional learning, experiential learning, student-centered practices, inclusive education, literacy development, cultural studies, teacher well-being, and meaningful technology integration.

Day 1 of ARTESOL Annual Convention 2026!

What an inspiring start to an unforgettable experience!

We began the day with an energizing yoga session led by Rita Aldorino, setting the tone for learning, reflection, and connection.

Our President, Silvia Breiburd, officially opened the convention with a heartfelt speech, welcoming participants and inviting us to embrace the spirit of Daring to Go Beyond.

We were also honored to learn from María Luisa Peart in her plenary, “La internacionalización como vehículo para la innovación,” which encouraged us to explore how internationalization can foster growth, collaboration, and innovation in education.

The day continued with an extraordinary plenary by Mary Scholl, whose insights and enthusiasm inspired us to reflect on our teaching practices and embrace new possibilities.
