🍎 Congratulations, Mrs. Irene Mekuli-Allen! 🍎
We congratulate Mrs. Richard Nd Irene Mekuli-Allen , recipient of the Dr. F.T. Seui "Golden Apple" Award and Samoa Baptist Academy's SY 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Allen exemplifies what it means to be a teacher whose impact extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. Her commitment throughout the year to her students is evident in the countless ways she seeks to reach each child where they are, investing her time, energy, and heart into helping them succeed. She has continuously placed the needs of her students above her own, working diligently to ensure every child knows they are valued, capable, and loved.
Whether serving Middle School students, encouraging our youngest learners in Kindergarten, assisting with school events, supporting fellow staff members, or stepping into roles wherever help is needed, Mrs. Allen demonstrates a true heart of service. No task is too small, no responsibility beneath her, and no opportunity to serve overlooked. She understands that education is not simply a profession, it is a calling.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Allen family, Mr.Richard and Patrick. Behind every dedicated educator is a family that shares in the sacrifice. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and understanding as Mrs. Allen faithfully wears the many hats required to serve the students and ministry of Samoa Baptist Academy.
The Dr. F.T. Seui "Golden Apple" Award was established to honor the legacy of a man who passionately believed that the schoolhouse was everywhere. Dr. Seui understood that education was not confined to a classroom, but was woven into every interaction, every lesson taught, every example lived, and every opportunity to invest in the next generation. He firmly believed that when educators commit to giving students their very best, they help shape the future and become the change they hope to see in their communities.
Dr. Seui's passion was education. He believed teachers were among the most important influences in a child's life and held the key to shaping the leaders, parents, and citizens of tomorrow. His vision centered on service, excellence, and the belief that investing in students was investing in the future of our community.
Mrs. Mekuli- Allen as our 7th recipient, embodies these very principles. Through her dedication, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to our students, she continues the legacy that this award represents.
Congratulations, Mrs. Irene Mekuli-Allen. Thank you for your faithful service, your servant's heart, and the lasting impact you make in the lives of our students every day. May God continue to bless you as you serve Him through the ministry of education. It has been a blessing to witness your journey thus far!

As we close the chapter on School Year 2025–2026, our hearts are filled with gratitude for all that God has done in and through the lives of our students, families, faculty, and staff.
This year, our guiding verse was Matthew 5:16:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
What a joy it has been to witness you, our students, live out this theme. Throughout the year, we have watched you grow academically, spiritually, and personally. We have seen you shine through your hard work, perseverance, service, and commitment to excellence. From the classroom to extracurricular activities, from chapel services to community involvement, Hurricanes, you have demonstrated what it means to be a light for Christ.
We are especially proud of the diligence you showed in your studies. Success does not happen by accident. It is built through discipline, consistency, and determination. This year, you embraced challenges, remained focused on your goals, and continued striving for excellence. Your growth has been evident, and we thank God for the work He is accomplishing in each of your lives.
To our graduating Class of 2026, thank you for allowing us the privilege of being part of your journey. It has been an honor to watch you grow from young children into confident young gentleman and ladies prepared for the next chapter of your lives. As you leave the gates of Samoa Baptist Academy, we pray that you carry with you the lessons, friendships, memories, and faith that have shaped your years here. Your class theme, "Rooted Together, Rising Forward," beautifully captures your journey. You have been rooted together through shared experiences, challenges, victories, and faith. Now, you rise forward into new opportunities and responsibilities. As you do, may you hold fast to the promise found in Philippians 1:6:
"Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
May you never forget that God is not finished with you. The good work He has begun in your lives will continue as you trust Him and follow His leading.
To our parents, words cannot adequately express the depth of our gratitude. Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us. Thank you for your countless prayers, unwavering support, sacrifices, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. Your commitment to your children's education and spiritual growth has made an immeasurable difference. We are truly grateful for every family that has walked alongside us this school year.
To our teachers, thank you. Thank you for showing up each day with purpose and dedication. Thank you for the countless hours spent planning, teaching, mentoring, encouraging, correcting, praying, and caring for your students. The calling of a teacher extends far beyond the classroom, and this year you faithfully fulfilled that calling. Through every challenge and every success, you remained committed to the promise and responsibility entrusted to you, to educate, nurture, and invest in the lives of young people. Thank you for hanging in there, for believing in your students, and for making a lasting impact that reaches far beyond report cards and test scores.
To our Principal, Ms. Ruth Tuato'o , and our Vice Principal, Mrs. Sopaima Tavete , thank you for your steadfast leadership. Great leadership is not measured only by decisions made, but by the compassion, wisdom, and care shown to those being led. Throughout this year, you have led with both conviction and grace, always placing the needs of students at the forefront. Thank you for creating an environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive, and for leading our school community with faith, vision, and genuine concern for every child entrusted to our care.
As we conclude School Year 2025–2026, we give all glory and honor to God for His faithfulness. Thank you to every student, parent, teacher, staff member, and supporter who made this year possible.
May we continue to let our lights shine for Christ wherever He leads us.
