🐍🦎🐢 Nature Education SA Visit at Redwood Park Nido 🐢🦎🐍

Today, our children enjoyed a wonderful visit from the Nature Education Centre, where they explored a fascinating range of animals and natural artefacts, including lizards, snakes, a possum, stick insects, shells, and a turtle spine.

Using their senses, the children investigated different textures, sounds, and visual features while engaging in a story-based learning experience designed to spark curiosity and participation. The children were eager to touch and observe the various items, comparing how they felt and looked while asking questions and sharing their ideas.

When the snake was introduced, many children excitedly shared their existing knowledge by making the familiar "ssss" sound and using their hands to mimic a snake slithering along the ground. These interactions demonstrated how children are building connections between their previous experiences and new learning opportunities.

The children showed confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm throughout the incursion as they extended our service inquiry into animals and the natural world. Experiences like these support children's understanding of living things while encouraging investigation, communication, and a sense of wonder about the environment around them.

We loved seeing the children's excitement and engagement throughout the session and look forward to continuing our learning journey with the Nature Education Centre in the future! 🌿✨

We are big fans of our ground maintenance team.

We’re big fans of the play spaces Nido Early Schools create for little learners. The cars are so great - and they run on joy instead of fuel! ☺️⛽️

The Natural Atelier is Open

This morning, our Leadership Triangle had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Haper’s Field Community Centre to view the artwork created by our talented children as part of The Natural Atelier exhibition.

Seeing the children's creativity displayed within a community exhibition space was a proud and inspiring moment. What began as a classroom inquiry project has grown into a beautiful showcase of imagination, exploration, and connection with the natural world.

The Natural Atelier – Inspired by Nature, Created by Children, we encourage families and members of our community to visit and experience this special exhibition. If you attend, we would love to see your photos alongside the children's artwork, so please feel free to share them with us and celebrate this wonderful achievement with our community.

A huge thank you City of Tea Tree Gully for helping us with this project, and @ Megan's Crafts and Creations for helping with the Signs

I am incredibly excited to deliver these pieces, along with 17 additional artworks, and proudly showcase our Nido brand within the community. The following Monday 15th June at 9am, I will have the opportunity to visit the official opening of The Natural Atelier Art Exhibition and see our children's creativity celebrated in a public space.

We are so proud of what our children have created through this project. Their imagination, creativity, and connection to nature shine through every piece, and we can't wait for the wider community to experience their amazing work.
