Lip Sync Battle burst onto the 2026 stage with enthusiasm, back flips and sparkles. Students from Years 7 to 12 competed over two weeks to see who could take out the trophy (and enjoy the hot chips prize!). It was so impressive to see the passion and excitement from our students - competition was fierce, with classes creating sets, costumes and choreography during their lunches and community time.

Congratulations to our winning classes who presented an amazing representation of Aladin’s Never Had a Friend Like Me (including daring sword fights and dazzling choreography), and Rio’s Real in Rio (which exploded onto the stage in a flurry of bright feathers and energy).

A big thank you for our wonderful judges, who gave thoughtful (and sometimes humorous!) feedback to the outstanding talent. We also appreciate Will and Faith (our tech support) for their efforts; the Lip Sync Battle would not have been a success without their hard work behind the scenes.

Hope Christian Secondary Students, we are so proud of your efforts this year. We thoroughly enjoyed what you presented, and look forward to what Lip Sync 2027 will bring!

The Primary Walkathon was a fantastic success!

Our Primary School students and staff hit the school grounds with enthusiasm, walking lap after lap to support a meaningful cause.

Every lap completed helped raise funds for a community school in the Philippines and a missionary support team. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, we have raised an amazing $7,660 so far!

A huge thank you to all the parents and families who came along to cheer on and encourage our students.

Mrs Bigwood's Year 5 students stepped back in time during their visit to Urrbrae House, experiencing life as it was in 1892!

Students took on the roles of guests of Mr and Mrs Waite, school students or servants.

The servants worked hard preparing and serving morning tea, while the guests enjoyed traditional pastimes such as card making and dominoes. Meanwhile, the school students practiced writing with ink pens and learnt the art of cursive handwriting.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to step into the shoes of people living in a very different era.

Our Year 5/6 SACSA Soccer teams delivered an outstanding performance on Tuesday, with both teams earning a place in the Grand Final.

Although neither team came away with the win, we were so pleased with the effort, teamwork and positive attitude shown by all of our students. Reaching the Grand Final was a fantastic achievement and a testament to their hard work throughout the competition.

Rijken Cup 2026 Recap

A huge congratulations to all the students and staff who represented the College at this year's Rijken Cup.

We are especially proud of our girls, who claimed 1st place in both Touch Football and Soccer!

Throughout the week, our students demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork, representing the College with pride both on and off the field.

In the overall standings, Hope Christian College finished equal first alongside two other schools. Following a countback, we were ultimately awarded 3rd place overall - a truly fantastic result and a testament to the effort and commitment of everyone involved.

Thank you to all our competitors and supporters!

What a fantastic day of soccer for our Year 3/4 teams at the SACSA Soccer Competition at West Beach! Despite battling wet and windy conditions throughout the day, both teams displayed outstanding determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our girls' team had an incredible tournament, advancing all the way to the Grand Final. In a thrilling and nail-biting match that went to penalty shootouts, they narrowly missed the championship, finishing as proud runners-up. An outstanding achievement!

Our boys' team also competed brilliantly throughout the day. After finishing equal 4th at the end of the minor rounds, they unfortunately missed out on a semi-final berth on a countback. Despite this disappointment, the boys continued to compete with great spirit and determination, ultimately finishing in 5th place overall.

We are incredibly proud of all our players for the resilience, courage, and positive attitude they demonstrated in challenging conditions. Well done to everyone for representing our school with pride!

Come and see our amazing Year 10 and 11 Drama students perform!

When: Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th June, 7pm
Where: Hope Christian College Auditorium

Sylvia South and the Word Catcher
Sylvia, a curious and adventure-seeking young girl, notices something bizarre in her local library one day: a mysterious man stealing words and books. Determined to uncover what is happening, Sylvia sets off on an adventure through the streets on a borrowed bicycle, chasing the so-called “Word Catcher.” Along the way, she encounters eccentric characters, imaginary worlds, and increasingly surreal situations that blur the line between reality and story.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Abridged
"The course of true love never did run smooth..."
The forest at night is a strange and magical place where different paths converge: young lovers fleeing strict expectations, a troupe of amateur actors preparing a play, and a world of feuding fairies led by Oberon and Titania. When Oberon’s mischievous servant, Puck, uses a magical flower to attempt to correct the lovers' feelings, confusion erupts as characters fall in and out of love with the wrong people.
As the night unfolds, enchantments, misunderstandings, and comic disasters collide in a place where reality and illusion blur together. By morning, harmony is restored and relationships are resolved after the strange events of the night.
