Huge thanks to Mission Australia, Northern Sound System, and City of Playford for partnering with us for a fantastic clothes swap event this week. Our students had the opportunity to clear out their wardrobes, donate, and pick up some new-to-them threads. To make the day even better, some of our incredibly talented music students set up in the foyer and provided the perfect soundtrack for the event.
We love seeing our community come together to support sustainable fashion and each other. A big shoutout to all the organisations involved who came along to say hi and chat with the students participating.

Huge shoutout to the students keeping our NASC cafe and library running smoothly! The Student Volunteer Army (SVA) program is all about making sure that the time you spend giving back turns into recognized, practical experience. We loved hosting the SVA film crew recently as they spent the day capturing the energy of our cafe and chatting with students about their volunteering journey.
Listening to our students share their honest feedback and reflect on their personal growth was a great reminder of how resilient, capable, and kind young people are, despite the challenges of the last few years. Thank you to everyone who stepped in front of the camera. Stay tuned for the final cut.

Last week, our students made a fantastic impact at the Salisbury Youth Summit held at the Salisbury Community Hub. We had two distinct groups representing us beautifully. Inside the summit, one group of our students joined peers from across the region to explore future career pathways, innovation, and community opportunities. Meanwhile, our AGFA crew took on a brilliant leadership role, guiding and mentoring other local youth through the technical world of AV production as they helped set up a Mario Kart tournament. We are incredibly proud of both our participants and our student mentors for showing up, supporting others, and looking out for the future.

Our Outdoor Education students recently returned from an incredible camp experience in the Flinders Ranges, filled with adventure, challenge, and unforgettable memories.
On the drive up, we stopped at the beautiful Lochiel Pink Salt Lake, explored Mambray Creek and took in the amazing views from the Matthew Flinders Lookout. Day 2, Students completed a 14km bushwalk through Alligator Gorge, experiencing the incredible rock walls and unique landscape firsthand. The scenery and atmosphere made it a truly surreal and memorable experience for everyone involved. On the journey home, the group stopped at the RM Williams Monument and Bundaleer Forrest, where we found a unique short Maple walk.
We were lucky to have perfect warm weather across the camp, allowing students to fully enjoy every activity. Most importantly, the camp created opportunities for students to share laughs, strengthen friendships, and build a genuine sense of belonging as a group.

Join us this Friday, the 5th of June, as we come together to raise vital funds for breast cancer research.
Over the last decade, breast cancer diagnoses in Australia have increased by around 15%. Today, 56 people across the country will receive this diagnosis, and we lose 9 Australians to this disease every single day.
Almost everyone in our community knows someone whose life has been touched by this reality. That is why funding world-class research is so important to changing future outcomes. Wear your best pink threads this Friday, bring a gold coin donation, and let us show our support together.
