Howard House visits the Forktree Project twice a year, contributing to its work restoring native habitat and biodiversity across the Hills and Fleurieu region.
Recently, 23 students and two staff volunteered at the project site, spending the day clearing invasive species and planting native seedlings. Their work forms part of Forktree’s broader effort to regenerate cleared land, support native plants and wildlife and give young people hands-on experience in environmental stewardship.
The Howard boys are looking forward to returning for their second visit of 2026 in Term 3.

In recent weeks Headmaster Tim Browning has connected with old scholars and their partners at Chapter events across Australia and around the world. From Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to Shanghai, Singapore and London, each gathering highlighted the strong sense of connection within the St Peter’s College community.
Seeing old scholars across generations come together again, share stories and support one another reflects the lifelong bonds forged at Saints.
Our thanks for the contribution of old scholars in convening or raising a toast to the School.

Exploration Society headed to Fox Creek for an epic day of mountain biking. With rain threatening from the start, the boys embraced the conditions, hit the trails and quickly discovered that a little mud only adds to the fun!
After 15mm of rain, riders returned soaked, splattered and grinning from ear to ear. A bakery lunch and a well-earned hot chip stop on the way home capped off a memorable day of adventure 🚵

Across the term, our Year 3 students have been building confidence and independence through Bike Education as part of our Wellbeing Electives program.
Supported by our Outdoor Education Team, every student progressed at their own pace, some from tentative first pushes to confident riding. We’re proud to celebrate that every Year 3 boy can now ride independently.
Along the way, students developed essential road safety skills, including signalling, navigating crossings and roundabouts and sharing public spaces safely. A special thank you to Senior Constable Michael Krawczyk from SAPOL, who reinforced the importance of making safe decisions on and around our roads.
A valuable life skill, learnt beyond the classroom and one that will support safe, confident participation in the community 🚲

A group of students and teachers attended the 2026 Australian of the Year Breakfast, hearing from astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg and the remarkable South Australians recognised for their service and leadership.
For Year 11 student Daniel, Katherine's perspective on failure was the most powerful takeaway.
"One quote that particularly resonated with me was when she said that you 'wouldn't want to be sitting next to the astronaut who has never failed before.' Her statement completely changed the way I think about failure. It showed me that failure is not the opposite of success, but an important part of achieving it. It encouraged me to focus less on avoiding mistakes and more on taking opportunities."
Year 11 student Henry was equally inspired by Katherine's message of dreaming boldly and persevering through challenges.
"It made me think more ambitiously about my own future and the impact I can have. The morning reminded me that success comes from persistence, courage and using your achievements to create opportunities for others."
Thank you to for an inspiring morning that challenged our students to dream big, embrace setbacks as opportunities for growth and consider the positive impact they can have on the world around them.

On Sunday, we gathered to farewell our Year 10 students as they prepared to set off on their 21 Day Journey through the Flinders Ranges.
During the Blessing of the Boots ceremony, Headmaster Tim Browning reflected on the importance of this rite of passage, a time for our boys to step away from the familiar, embrace challenge and discover more about themselves, each other and the world around them.
Uncle Mickey led a smoking ceremony, while Father Theo offered words of strength and encouragement, inviting the boys to walk with courage, gratitude and open hearts.
There was a mix of nerves, excitement and anticipation as packs were shouldered and final goodbyes shared, before the boys boarded the bus and began their journey north.

A memorable win for the First XI Soccer team in Melbourne.
After trailing 2-1 in the second half, the boys produced a terrific comeback to defeat Scotch College 4-2 and return the John Roe Shield to St Peter’s College.
Goals from Year 12 students Noah, James, Leo and Jack capped off a strong team performance in a fixture that has been part of the soccer calendar since 1979. The annual match honours former teacher and TIC Soccer, Mr John Roe, who helped establish the competition between the two schools.
Congratulations to all players, Coach Paul Vanis, assistant coach Ashley Coats, staff and parents who supported the tour, and thank you to Scotch College for hosting this year’s fixture.

Students from St Peter’s College and Walford Anglican School for Girls recently joined forces for the annual Concert Bands Showcase, celebrating the talent, dedication and growth of our young musicians.
The evening featured performances from each school’s concert bands, alongside several combined ensembles, creating a vibrant and authentic co-educational music-making experience. Through collaboration, students not only refined their musical skills but also formed connections with like-minded peers who share a passion for performance.
Congratulations to all performers and staff involved in a wonderful evening of music.
