Thinking about starting a Security course?
Wondering why Tactical Training should be your first choice?
We could say, “Why wouldn’t you?” — but let’s be honest, we’re a little biased! So rather than just hearing it from us, hear from some of our recent graduates from the Certificate II in Security Operations course about their experience...
We asked them: “What did you value most about the training?”
P.S. We’re now taking enrolments for our next Certificate II in Security Operations course starting 29 June 2026 — so get onto it!

On 29 May 2026, we had the privilege of celebrating another outstanding group who successfully completed their Certificate II in Security Operations face-to-face training with Tactical.
Throughout the course, this group demonstrated commitment, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork. Their willingness to engage, support one another, and step up when it mattered most, made this intake particularly memorable.
We would like to recognise those who were acknowledged by their peers. The Active Learner Award was deservedly presented to Kain, with feedback from fellow participants including “Day one, Kain was nervous about participating and completing activities. He demonstrated an ability to improve himself by speaking to the Tactical team and has actively participated every day and completed all tasks, for the rest of the week. Well done Kain 🙂”
Additionally, the Team Leader recognition was awarded to (a very tall!) Brad, his peers highlighting “he helped everyone understand how to do the tasks. For example, helped others with using the radio and tactical withdrawal techniques.”
These acknowledgements reflect the respect and appreciation earned from within the group — an achievement to be especially proud of.
Well done to everyone involved. We wish you all the best as you take the next steps in your security careers.

On 15 May 2026, this lovely bunch of humans (plus those not in the photo!) proudly completed their Certificate II in Security Operations face-to-face training here at Tactical. They showed a high level of professionalism, dedication, and emerging leadership skills.
Congratulations to all involved on achieving this important milestone. Your active participation, collaboration, and consistent effort made for a productive and rewarding training experience.
We would like to recognise those who were acknowledged by their peers. The Active Learner Award was presented to Jacob, with feedback from fellow participants including “Initially he was introverted, struggled to grasp writing reports etc. By the end of the week, he was more outspoken, took initiative with leading the group, using the radio. He's come out of his shell, and I can see the wonderful traits he's kept hidden.”
Additionally, the Team Leader recognition was awarded to Tenielle (who chose not to be in photos!), her peers highlighting she was “Humble, helpful, entertaining. Looking out for peers.”
Well done to everyone on a successful week — a fantastic achievement all around. We’ll be seeing some of you back here this week for Provide First Aid training!

There are some significant, and special occasions, where one simply cannot find the words to express sincere, ‘from the heart’ gratitude. The kind of appreciation that comes from being in someone’s debt.
Anzac Day is that said occasion.
I know as I stand in silence at my local Anzac service; The Ode being read and the Last Post being played, I am overcome.
The hairs on my arms stand to attention and tear drops hang on for dear life.
The enormity of sacrifice, and the extent of courage, cannot be forgotten.
We MUST NOT forget.
While I am still at a loss and cannot do an ounce of justice to this day of remembrance, or this post, I don’t think I am alone.
Perhaps we can find some solace; some kind of redemption in reflecting on the soulful words of Laurence Binyon; his poem so wonderfully poignant and ever so fitting…
‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’

The Certificate III in Close Protection Operations course is not for the faint hearted — but this week’s CIII group quickly showed they know how to get the job done! 💥
They’ve worked hard all week and today, rewarded themselves with pizza for lunch 🍕
Afterall, one cannot study on an empty stomach!
Outstanding work, team! You earned every slice before 'Take Down' training this afternoon 💪 Special mention must go to Lu, for bravely volunteering to ‘take down’ facilitator Daniel! — entertaining and impressive!
What a fantastic day. It’s been a joy to watch you all work as a team this week. One more day to go. Tomorrow is going to be awesome!
Please Note: no humans (or pizzas) were harmed in the making of this post!
