Niina Marni families,
We’re excited to share that our new Winter Menu 2026 has been in place since the beginning of June and is already being enjoyed by the children! ❄️🍲
This fresh 4-week rotating menu has been thoughtfully created using seasonal ingredients, warm comforting meals, and a variety of nutritious options to support children’s growth, wellbeing, and diverse dietary needs throughout the cooler months.
This season, we are also celebrating different cultures through food, with dishes inspired by German, Latin, Indian, Mediterranean, and European cuisines. We hope this provides wonderful opportunities for children to explore and experience flavours from around the world. 🌎✨
Families will continue to see the daily vegetarian option included on the menu, making it easy to follow what is being offered each day.
A heartfelt thank you to all the families who took the time to complete our menu feedback survey. Your valuable input was carefully considered during the development of this menu and helps us ensure that our offerings continue to reflect the diversity, preferences, and nutritional needs of our community. We truly appreciate your partnership and support. ❤️
As always, small changes may occasionally occur due to ingredient availability or deliveries; however, any updates will be communicated on the daily room sheets.
Ngaitalya,
Chef Chris Farias 💛

Naa Marni!
As we welcome Kudlila, the Kaurna season of winter, our babies ventured outdoors in their dry rain suits to experience the wonders of rainy weather firsthand. Splashing through puddles, feeling the gentle rain, and exploring the changing environment encouraged curiosity and joyful discovery.
These experiences allowed the children to engage their senses, build confidence, and develop their gross motor skills as they moved across different surfaces and navigated the wet outdoor environment. Through play, they learned about the natural world and developed an appreciation for the changing seasons on Kaurna Country.
Outdoor exploration during Kudlila supports children's wellbeing, resilience, and connection to nature while fostering a sense of wonder and belonging. 💦🌿👣
EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners as they use their senses, curiosity, and creativity to explore and make meaning of the world around them. ✨🌈🖤💛❤️

Today the children enjoyed a hands-on creative experience using coloured glue 🌈 and a variety of different sized and shaped pop sticks to design and build their own unique creations ✨🏗️. Through open-ended exploration, the children used their imagination to experiment with arranging, balancing and connecting materials to form different shapes, patterns and structures.
As the children worked carefully with the glue and small materials, they were developing important fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration 🤲🎨.
The experience also encouraged patience and persistence as children took their time planning ideas, waiting for pieces to stick, and problem-solving when structures needed adjusting. It was wonderful to see the children sharing ideas, encouraging one another and taking pride in their individual creations 😊
This experience links to EYLF V2 Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners, as children explored creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving and persistence through meaningful hands-on learning experiences.

🌎✨ IT’S A SMALL WORLD ✨🌎
This month we started a cooking experience series called “It’s a Small World” 🧑🍳💛
Through food, we will explore flavors and traditions from different countries around the world! 🌍✈️
Our first stop was Mexico 🇲🇽 with delicious Tacos 🌮
Tacos originated in Mexico and are loved all around the world for their fresh and tasty combination of ingredients 😋
The children had so much fun creating their own tacos by choosing ingredients inspired by the original recipe, including ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and guacamole 🥬🍅🧀🥑
During this hands-on experience, the children practiced and developed many important skills such as:
✨ Independence and decision-making
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Confidence and creativity
✨ Exploring different cultures and flavors
✨ Communication and social interaction
✨ Healthy eating habits
Seeing their excitement, curiosity, and proud little smiles was absolutely the best part of the day 🥹💛🌮

The children enjoyed taking charge of their learning environment today as they helped make fresh play dough for the Over 2s.
Measuring, pouring, mixing and choosing colours encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and creativity while giving the children a sense of ownership and pride within their space. 🤝
Experiences like this support children to become confident, capable learners as they actively contribute to their environment and daily routines. 🙌🧠

Today we went on a bug hunt! 🐛 🐜 🐞
Our local park excursion was filled with adventure, discovery and connection as the children set off on a bug hunt through the community! Following clues and prompts along the way, the children worked together to search for hidden bugs, using their observation, problem-solving and teamwork skills to complete the challenge. Once every bug had been found, the children celebrated their success with time to explore and play at the playground.
A special part of the excursion was including 4 of our Under 2s, with 3 of them sharing the experience alongside their siblings—supporting family connections and fostering a sense of belonging across age groups. Exploring our local community in this way helps children build confidence in their environment and strengthen their connection to the world around them.
This experience links to EYLF V2 Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
