The towers may not stay standing for long, but the learning lasts. 💛

Through building, balancing, and working alongside friends, children develop creativity, coordination, problem-solving skills, and confidence - all while having fun.

Today’s lesson? Sometimes the joy is in the building, not the finished tower. 🧱✨

This week in our Toddler Room, the children have been enjoying imaginative play with our doctor’s trolley!

Through role-playing as doctors and patients the toddlers have been developing important social and emotional skills as they learn to care for others, take turns, and communicate their ideas. Imaginative play supports language development, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence as children explore real-world experiences in a safe and familiar environment.

It has been wonderful to watch the children use their imaginations, practise empathy, and engage in meaningful conversations while examining patients, checking temperatures, and providing plenty of care and comfort.

Last week, we were so lucky to welcome Mel and Amy from Smile Safari to Parafield Airport Early Learning Centre! 🦷✨

The children had so much fun during their dental check-ups and cleans, while also learning all about the importance of taking care of their teeth and keeping their smiles healthy.

A big thank you to Mel and Amy for making the experience so engaging, educational, and enjoyable for our little learners. 😁

We can’t wait to see you both again in 6 months for another Smile Safari adventure! 🦁🪥💙

National Reconciliation Week 🌿

Our children have been exploring the meaning of connection, respect, and belonging through creativity and self-expression. As part of Reconciliation Week they created these beautiful artworks inspired by the work of Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey. Otis’ work Gaagal (ocean) draws from the rippling and healing of waterways, representing coming together for reconciliation.

The children shared their ideas and celebrated the importance of coming together, learning from one another, and recognising the rich cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are proud of the creativity, curiosity, and thoughtfulness our children have shown in creating these meaningful displays.
