The children in the nursery were provided with the opportunity to participate in a mess-free painting experience. This activity offered a safe and engaging way for infants to explore creativity while also benefiting from sensory learning and physical development.
Through the use of sealed zip-lock bags containing paint, the children were able to manipulate and move the paint freely, observing the colours blend and change as they pressed, pushed, and explored. The activity encouraged sensory exploration as children experienced the texture and cool temperature of the paint through the bag, supporting their understanding of cause and effect and stimulating their senses.
For some children, the experience also provided an opportunity to engage in tummy time, strengthening their neck, shoulder, and core muscles as they reached, stretched, and interacted with the materials. The open-ended nature of the activity allowed each child to participate in their own way, supporting the Hundred Languages of Children philosophy, which recognises that children communicate, explore, and express their ideas through many different forms, including movement, touch, observation, and play.
This experience supported children's cognitive, physical, sensory, and creative development while fostering curiosity, exploration, and confidence in a nurturing environment.

We have some availability for our nursery spaces so please contact us soon to avoid missing out

The learning began with a small-world play invitation based on Jack and the
Beanstalk, where children used characters, props, and a handmade castle to retell
the story and create their own narratives. Through collaborative storytelling, children
developed their imagination, language skills, creativity, and confidence in expressing
ideas.
Following children's growing interest in the story, they participated in a collaborative
art experience to create a giant beanstalk. Children carefully cut, glued, and
assembled materials, strengthening their fine motor skills while contributing to a
shared project. They proudly watched as the beanstalk grew taller, fostering a sense
of ownership, teamwork, and achievement. Children particularly enjoyed
manipulating the pulley system and observing Jack and the Giant move up and down
the beanstalk, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on exploration.

♟️ LOOSE PARTS 🎲

Play involving loose parts can encourage children to think imaginatively and explore possibilities!

During our focus on snails, our Pre-Kindy class used the loose parts to create their own snail interpretations. It was magical to see their thoughts come alive with the help of loose parts! 🐌

If you would like to see our curriculum come to life, you can book a tour! We would love to meet you.

This week we welcomed our families in to meet our early childhood teachers and hear about how all three kindy rooms cater to the needs of the children. What a day in the life looks like and how we embed learning into all we do.
We are so lucky to have over 30 years experience between all of them and a wealth of knowledge and lived experiences.
As a centre we have 5 teachers who work in not only our 3 and 4 year old rooms but also our babies and toddler rooms.
If you would like more information book a tour and come and see! We would love to meet you.

Did you know there is a free program available for families with babies aged 6–18 months who may be showing early differences in communication or social interaction?

Inklings is a research-backed program that helps parents and caregivers better understand and respond to their baby’s unique way of communicating. Families receive up to 10 free sessions with a trained practitioner, tailored to their child and family.

Families who have participated in Inklings say the program helped them feel more confident, connected and supported in their parenting journey.

The program is available across metropolitan and regional South Australia and can be accessed through health services, children’s centres, at home or via telehealth.
