Congratulations to Year 11 students Taylor and Myf, whose powerful artworks have been selected for the 2026 SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards touring exhibition!

Being chosen for this prestigious exhibition is a wonderful achievement, with their creative posters exploring this year's theme ‘A Million Stories’ through striking colour, imagery and text.

We are incredibly proud of Taylor and Myf for representing the College so beautifully and contributing to this important celebration of Refugee Week.

Congratulations to our Year 7/8 Knockout Basketball team for taking out the Division 2 Statewide Basketball Championships on Wednesday! It was a fantastic team effort going the whole day undefeated in close games, where every single player took a turn to step up and make a contribution when it counted. It seemed that the girls just continued to improve as the day progressed, with a final score of 42 - 37 in a gritty Grand Final against Morialta. Thankyou to our superstar coach, Mr Dickson and team manager Ms Casserly-Lund for their ongoing support over the year, and our wonderful families who came out to support on the day!

We were delighted to give our Mid-Year Reception girls a warm welcome this week 💜 They enjoyed their first orientation visit, spending time with their teachers, Ms Allwright and Ms Goode, making new friends and exploring their new learning spaces. As the first Reception students to begin their SAC journey in the new Dunlevie Building, we can’t wait to welcome them next term and see them thrive.

⚽️ Kicking Goals at SAC! 🎙️

With soccer fever in the air and Adelaide proudly cheering on our Socceroos, there’s no better time to talk all things sport at SAC. In the latest SAC Stories episode, we sit down with our passionate soccer students and PE Coordinator, Ms Glennon, to explore the opportunities, teamwork and school spirit that sport brings to our community.

Connection. Reflection. Growth 💙

At SAC, retreats provide students with the opportunity to step away from their everyday routines, strengthen friendships, deepen their understanding of themselves, and create lasting memories. These experiences play an important role in supporting wellbeing, personal growth, and a sense of belonging within our community.

Our Year 3 students had an action‑packed camp at AFL Max Adelaide — full of climbing walls, trampolines, obstacle courses, and team challenges. They showed incredible courage, teamwork, and big smiles all day long. So proud of our little legends! 💛🏉🌟

For one lunchtime only, the rock bands of SAC joined forces and put together an unforgettable concert showcasing their talent and outstanding musical gifts.

Our skilled rock bands from Year 8-12 performed songs featuring Linger and Move Along, blowing away their audience, leaving them wanting more.

Here at SAC, music is a second language, where our occasional lunchtime concerts bring staff and students alike closer together.

Our Year 10 STEM interested students recently put their engineering skills to the test in a hands-on "Build a Crane" workshop with Dr Navodana Rodrigo and her team from Adelaide University. Working in teams, students designed and constructed cantilever cranes using only newspaper, masking tape, measuring tape and scissors, demonstrating creativity, collaboration and problem-solving under pressure. Congratulations to Tinaya, Abby, Ava and Claire, whose innovative design took out the winning spot. A fantastic STEM experience that challenged students to think, create and work together!

Recently, our year 8 students enjoyed a performance from spoken word poetry group Poetry In Action, called ‘The Power of Poetry’. The three performers enthusiastically and hilariously discussed, debated and brought to life a range of classic and contemporary poems.

The students were engaged and drawn into the story, all about mistaken identities and how poetry can help us express our innermost feelings. Overall it was a fun performance which should lead well into our further study of a range of poetry in Year 8 English classes. Thanks Poetry in Action!
