🌿✨ Our Nature Play Space is Officially Open! ✨🌿
We are thrilled to unveil our new Nature Play area! This exciting space has been made possible through the incredible support, generosity, and dedication of our school community.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many students who contributed their ideas and input into the design of the space, helping to create an environment that reflects their interests and imagination. We are also deeply grateful to the parents, families, friends, and community members who supported our fundraising efforts over the past two years to turn this vision into a reality.
A special thank you to the team at Betterland, who were wonderful to work with and delivered the project ahead of schedule.
This beautiful new space will provide endless opportunities for exploration, play, and learning. We look forward to seeing the curiosity, creativity and collaboration of our students flourish as they enjoy and engage with this wonderful environment for many years to come.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this project to life! 💚

Over the past two weeks, our school has been proud to celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2026.
Across the fortnight, students have taken part in meaningful learning about Kaurna Country, the importance of caring for Country, and the stories of Kaurna Dreaming heroes. We also explored Uncle Lewis O’Brien’s powerful message: “Know your Country, love your Country.”
Students enjoyed a cup of lemon myrtle tea while learning about native Australian plants and animals, including plants valued for bush medicine and their connection to Country.
Yesterday’s Reconciliation Week bake sale was a wonderful success, with the Canteen Action Team helping to serve, and our school community showing fantastic support.
Next week, we look forward to unveiling our whole school handprint artwork; an ibis. Every handprint is different and special, but together they create one picture, just like our school community is made up of many unique people. The ibis connects to the story of Tjilbruke and reminds us that we all belong, and that every person helps make our school community strong.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the week so meaningful.

🌱✨ Our KPPS School Garden Opening was a huge success! ✨🌱
We are so incredibly proud of the students involved in our gardening groups and Green Thumbs Action Team. From growing and propagating plants, preparing delicious treats for visitors, selling plants, and confidently leading garden tours — they truly did an amazing job! 💚
Thanks to their hard work, our plant sales raised $150, which will go straight back into supporting and growing the garden program. 🌼
A huge thank you to all the families who came along to support the opening, as well as everyone who has donated plants or contributed to the garden along the way. Your generosity is so appreciated.
Our garden continues to be open after school each day, with plants still available for purchase using our honesty system 🌿
We would also love the support of volunteers within our school community. Even 15 minutes here and there to help keep the gardens tidy makes a big difference!
Thank you for helping our garden — and our students — continue to grow. 🌻

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

WORLD AUTISM DAY 2026
April 2 marks World Autism Day, a time to recognise, celebrate and support autistic people in our community. It’s an opportunity to deepen our understanding, embrace neurodiversity, and continue building environments where every individual feels valued and included.
This year, we are focusing on strengthening our knowledge through a neuro-affirming approach. Mr. Hewitt will be leading short student sessions and along with longer staff sessions designed to support inclusive practices and language, helping us continue to grow the positive and supportive culture already present in our classrooms.
Together, we celebrate differences, foster belonging, and commit to learning every day.
