Today our Toddlers further explored their numeracy learning and awareness with a fun group game with Educator Chloe!
Chloe set up some bingo boards and some dot painters, the children eagerly joined around the circle to take turns at completing the numeracy bingo. This is a great, age appropriate experience fostering the children to begin to recognise numbers, learn the names of numbers and develop ability to match alike images.
Go Toddlers!!

Our Reception Ready room have been generously gifted a beautiful fish tank and stand by one of our amazing families, Aneleise and Ben!
This had launched some new learning opportunities for the children in the room, deep diving into the different animals inside the tank and their rolls within the Ecosystem.
In the tank there are:
- Snails
- Blue Shrimp
- Guppies
- Balloon Mollys
- Cardinal Tetras
This also began discussions on the types of animals that exist, such as Mammals, Fish, Crustaceans and Reptiles.
The children have been working on brainstorming some names for the fish, as well as doing some arts and crafts to create and paint their own fish.
Who knew there was so much learning that comes from just one fish tank!

This week we started to receive some new resources that were recently ordered from our teams Wishlist. Our Nursery 1 babies have leaped into making the most out of their new giant ball bit!
Ball bits support babies and their development in many ways;
- gross motor coordination, reaching, crawling and moving the balls
- cause and effect, throwing the balls and watching them bounce, burying toys and seeing things disappear
- fostering fine motor skills with picking up and gripping the balls
Keep an eye out for more posts about our new resources! 🧸📚✏️
