Year 3 Assembly 🌏

Today, our Year 3 students proudly hosted assembly, showcasing the rich diversity of cultures and languages represented within their classroom and the wider Tranby community.

Students shared greetings and phrases from languages spoken all around the world, highlighting the importance of understanding, respect and connection. A special highlight was their beautiful rendition of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star sung in Noongar, honouring the language and culture of the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and grow.

Well done to our Year 3 students for such a thoughtful and engaging assembly. We are so proud of the confidence, enthusiasm and respect you demonstrated today. πŸ’™

History Comes to Life in Perth! βš–οΈβ›οΈ

Yesterday our year 9 HASS students stepped beyond the classroom to deepen their understanding of Colonial Australia and the Australian legal system through immersive learning experiences in Perth.

At the Perth Mint, students explored the fascinating history of gold and its impact on Western Australia's development. They also visited the Francis Burt Law Education Centre, where they took part in a mock trial, stepping into the roles of lawyers, witnesses and jurors to experience the legal process firsthand.

The day concluded with a visit to one of Western Australia's law courts, providing students with a valuable insight into how our justice system operates in the real world.

Year 12 Retreat 2026 🌟

Our Year 12 students recently spent three days together at Point Walter Recreation Camp for their annual Year 12 Retreat- a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect as they prepare for life beyond Tranby College.

As they enter the final stages of their school journey, students took part in archery, the flying fox, orienteering, mini golf, team challenges and more. These experiences encouraged personal growth, self-reflection, resilience, and plenty of fun along the way.

The retreat also provided time for students to strengthen friendships, support one another, and celebrate how far they have come as a cohort. A special dinner at The Boatshed in South Perth was a highlight, giving students and staff the chance to share an evening together and create lasting memories.

We wish our Year 12s all the very best as they continue their final year and work towards their goals for the future. πŸŽ“

Year 5 Detectives Shine in Statewide Challenge πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ

We are incredibly proud of our Year 5 Cluedunnit Kids team, who achieved Joint Runner-Up Place alongside Scotch College in this year's statewide Cluedunnit Kids challenge.

Students stepped into the role of detectives, investigating a fictional crime by analysing evidence, questioning suspects, and working collaboratively to identify the prime suspect. They then presented their findings and reasoning to a panel of legal and law enforcement professionals.

In Tranby's very first year participating in the competition, our team finished among the top performers from a field of more than 450 students, 97 teams and 44 schools across Western Australiaβ€”an outstanding achievement.

Congratulations to our talented young detectives on this fantastic achievement! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Exploring Future Pathways at the Tranby Careers Expo!

It was fantastic to see so many students and families attend our Careers Expo tonight.

With exhibitors representing universities, training providers, industry organisations and employers, students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of future pathways, ask questions and gain valuable insights into potential careers.

A special thank you to all of our exhibitors for sharing their expertise and guidance, and to our alumni who returned to support the event, representing WAAPA. It was wonderful for students to hear firsthand about the different journeys available after school.

We hope students left feeling inspired and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead!
