🐉🎋 Dragon Boat Festival Celebration Today at Berwick Twinklestar ELC! 🎋🐉

Today we are excited to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival with our children, families, and community!

Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and engaging cultural experiences, including:

🎋 Making traditional Bamboo Sticky Rice
🎯 Playing exciting festival games
🎁 Winning prizes and receiving special gifts
🐉 Joining in our fun Dragon Boat Festival parade
🌏 Learning about the traditions and meaning behind this special cultural celebration

We love providing opportunities for children to explore and appreciate different cultures through hands-on learning experiences, creativity, and community involvement.

We can't wait to share all the fun and excitement with everyone today!

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week, and our children spent some special time exploring what reconciliation means through stories, symbols, art and meaningful conversations. ❤️💛🖤

Our Kinder children enjoyed learning about Aboriginal symbols, listening to stories, drawing their own symbols and exploring our Reconciliation display board together. It was wonderful to see their curiosity, creativity and thoughtful discussions as they engaged in these experiences.

Through these small but meaningful moments, we continue to encourage respect, understanding, connection and learning together as a community.

☕🧁 Today we proudly hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council! 💛

Our Kinder children worked so hard making some delicious cupcakes and cookies for all our families to enjoy with a donation towards this wonderful cause. 🍪🧁

The children also brought in a gold coin donation and had so much fun choosing a special treat to take home for at the end of the day! 😊

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families for your generous donations and support. We hope you enjoyed some delicious morning tea treats while helping raise funds for those impacted by cancer.

We are so proud of our children for being involved and helping make a difference in our community. 💛

We had the most amazing time celebrating Chinese New Year at The Old Cheese Factory with our beautiful families and children! ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to all the families who came along to celebrate with us. Your support, smiles and community spirit made the day so special.
From the children’s performances to the exciting games, cultural activities and creative arts and crafts, there was joy and laughter everywhere.

🧧🐉 Chinese New Year Celebrations at Berwick Twinklestars 🐉🧧
What an incredible celebration we had at our centre for Chinese New Year! All of our rooms came together for a joyful morning filled with singing, dancing, and special performances from both our children and educators. It was so beautiful to see everyone sharing in the excitement and learning about this meaningful cultural celebration together.
To continue the celebrations, the children took part in making dumplings. They loved exploring the ingredients, helping with preparation, and learning about the traditions behind the food. It was a wonderful way to connect culture, creativity and learning.
Thank you to our educators for creating such a rich and engaging experience, and to our families for supporting cultural celebrations within our centre community.
