Congratulations to Science Supply Australia on an incredible 40 years in business! 🎉

This week, we had the privilege of joining the Science Supply Australia team as they celebrated this remarkable milestone with over 40 laboratory technicians from schools across Victoria.

As a family-owned business founded by Daniela's father and now led by Daniela herself, Science Supply Australia has spent four decades supporting educators, students, scientists, and industry professionals with quality laboratory resources. Their impact on science education across Australia is truly something to celebrate.

Our own Alex Furey facilitated a fantastic discussion around student engagement in science and building teacher confidence in STEM, while Emma Durban shared some of Street Science's science facilitation techniques through a hands-on professional learning session, complete with a few sneak peeks from our upcoming National Science Week show!

A huge congratulations to Daniela, her family, and the entire Science Supply Australia team. Here's to the next 40 years of supporting great science education.

Turns out school leaders are just as competitive as their students!

Last week, Brook and Alex visited Labrador State School to present Kylie Haselem, Deputy Principal (Prep - Year 2) with her prize for winning the inaugural Street Science x QASSP Cup.

After two days of fierce competition at the Queensland Association of State School Principals (QASSP) Conference, Kylie claimed the title and secured $5,000 in Street Science credit for her school.

Congratulations, Kylie! We loved celebrating the win with you and can't wait to see the impact those science experiences have on your students.

What happens when you load a ute with science and hit the road across regional Queensland?

Photos from Street Science's post 25/05/2026

There’s something different about being out on the road during the Regional Queensland Tour.

Back at Scottville, the students were so excited to give Emma an update on the green tree frogs — from last year’s frog pond to now watching tadpoles turn into frogs.

And in Middlemount, spotting familiar faces, kids who’ve now seen her perform four or more times, still just as into it.

It’s those little moments in between that really stay with you.

Thanks to all the schools who welcomed us 👏

Such a great session with the Year 6s at Springfield Lakes SS, they brought so much energy. Melody and Sarah loved every minute of it too.

Thanks so much for having us! 🚀
