HELP!! Thanks to the old boys so far who have sent us through a short video. However we need more! Old boys - See the post from the Iona College Old Boys Association and send us through a short video of yourself (phone in landscape) telling us when you graduated, what ensembles you were in and the best thing about doing music at school for you. We need them tonight!! There's a link in the post. The ones we've recieved already are awesome and are so encouraging. The current students will really appreciate it :)
Parents/Carers – friendly reminder:
Students are not to be dropped off or picked up from under IPAC between Monday and Friday. Please use the designated drop-off and pick-up areas at all times.

🎶 Reminder: Music Supporters Group Meeting Tonight 🎶
A quick reminder that our Music Supporters Group (MSG) AGM is on tonight from 7:00pm in Music Studio 7 (under IPAC stairs).
This is an important meeting as all roles, Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, will be open for nominations. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great opportunity to support our wonderful music program!
The MSG is a fantastic parent network that works alongside the Music Department, helping at events and fundraising to support our students. Meetings are only once or twice a term, and every bit of help makes a difference.
We’d love to see you there! 🎵

Hi all. Please tag any old boys that spent time in the music program and would be interested in helping us put together a compilation of well wishes to our younger musicians. We really want our boys to feel connected with those who have gone before them and to see where all our musicians have ended up! Whether you’re still playing an instrument or just listening to and appreciating good music we’d love to hear from you. See the info below as was posted on the old boys page:

🎶 Iona College Music Gala – Tuesday 2 June 🎶
Every two years, the Iona College Music Gala brings our music community together for a spectacular evening celebrating the talent, spirit and legacy of Iona Music. This year’s Gala will be held in Provence, across four stages, showcasing more than 20 co‑curricular ensembles.
📅 Date: Tuesday 2 June (Week 7)
🕔 From: Students arrive at 5:00pm
🎵 Program: Pre‑show entertainment followed by main performances from 6:00pm
As we prepare for this special night, we warmly invite members of our Old Boys community to be part of the celebration. Whether you sang in the choir, played in a band, or performed in an ensemble, we’d love to see you back — introducing an ensemble you once belonged to, helping guide groups between stages, assisting backstage, or supporting the event as part of the Gala crew.
This night celebrates not only musical excellence, but the confidence, belonging and connection that music fosters across generations at Iona.
If you’re an Old Boy who’d like to be involved on the night, please get in touch with Brian L’Huillier, Head of Instrumental Music, via [email protected].
🎼 Let’s celebrate Iona Music — past, present and future.
