✨ THIS FRIDAY!✨
For one gorgeous evening, this very d-i-v-e-r-s-e group of musicians will create a continuous long-form improvised performance shaped through deep listening, collaborating and responding.
The room will be stage-less so you can wander, find a cozy corner, or stretch out on the floor and sink into the musical conversation unfolding in real time.
🌙 Melt is the multi-instrumental project of Jordan Rodger, blending Eno-inspired loop-based music, post-rock grooves and contemporary jazz. For this special performance, Melt expands into a two-drum-kit quintet, with Jordan guiding the improvised shape of the evening.
🌙 Ziyu Chen is a professional guzheng player from Canberra’s GlowLing Band. Through the shimmering sounds of this 2,700-year-old Chinese instrument, she shares a sense of peace, beauty and connection to a rich musical tradition.
🌙 ALPHAMALE is the experimental viola-and-electronics project of Hannah de Feyter, whose work spans sonic installation, theatre sound design and film soundtracks. Immersive sounds somewhere between music and atmosphere.
🌙 Lucyvale is the ambitious solo project of Lucy Skipper, exploring music that unfolds slowly and transforms over time. Drawing from post-rock, folk, krautrock, noise and heavier experimental sounds, Lucyvale embraces long-form journeys and surprising destinations.
Our friends at Trust Club will be serving alcohol-free drinks and snacks ☕✨

Part crew, part label, part LARP, Dark Future Picnic Music is a Canberra-based concept art project led by a multi-disciplinary collective of DJs, musicians, designers, engineers, educators, data analysts, and visual artists. This project is driven by a single question:
How can rave culture bring community, resilience, and romance to a world beset by socioeconomic injustice, geopolitical turmoil, and a rapidly changing climate?
This event is an invitation to take part in DFPM’s first step towards answering this question. More than a launch or party, it is an invitation to face this reality and build hope from dystopia.
Join us on a six-hour musical journey into a dark future where the sounds of dub, dubby house, dub techno, dubstep, and steppers became the means for a culture of resistance.

Blank Archive: Jazz and Friends
30th May, 2026
Photography:
Jazz and Friends was a jazz fusion and live art event featuring @6, .5 with , .way.orkestra, and on the decks as Garaújo. Live art was performed by and roving circus entertainment was performed by
Jazz and Friends brought a crowd of 250 attendees and achieved a colourful and buzzy atmosphere. It was the first event to emerge from two members of Blank’s community working together to host a mutual passion project: of Rush Hour 5 / alumni of Blank’s Activation Lab, and (Blank’s founder)
As an organisation, we felt we had a better feel for delivering an immersive audience experience after learning from the first event in the programming, but the setup and demand on staff was still clunky. Between intermittent drizzles of rain over the outdoor venue and a few key team members away sick, getting everything ready within the time we had was challenging. However, aside from a slight delay on doors opening, the event ran smoothly and we recorded some new processes on dealing with weather events on the fly.
Thanks again to everyone who came, and to for making Blank Cultural Platform possible

Blank Archive - Superconductor
What is Blank Archive? We have been reflecting lately on how to best build cultural capital in Canberra. Great concepts and organising know-how are often lost as people come to Canberra for a reason or a season, and then leave with this knowledge to cities like Sydney and Melbourne. For Canberra to be able to meaningfully build its own scene and reputation, we strongly believe in the need for a library of activations and resources that anyone can access. The ability to see what has come before us is the best guide to what we might create in the future.
For every major event or happening going forward at Blank Cultural Platform, think of Blank Archive as a diary entry.
Superconductor was hosted by Ben Tindale under the artist name Mr. One Oscillator. Ben is a local analogue synth collector and enthusiast, and works as a freelance aerospace engineer and fabricator. He is a lifelong Canberra resident.
Superconductor was a concept event of a day and night live electronic jam, where any local musician was invited to plug in and sync up to a long table of instruments. Ben acted as the ‘super’ conductor, keeping these instruments mixed and EQ’d in real time.
Blank also used the opportunity of 12hrs of live music to invite along members of its community in graffiti and street art to host a painting jam, where we mural’d our terrace over the course of the gig.

What a little treat we have cooking for you!
Kicking off You Are Here’s series of delightfully cozy winter workshops and gigs, we’re thrilled to welcome Sandy Ma for a very special weekend of sound, textiles and curious joy.
On Sunday 7 June, join Sandy for a two-hour Touching Wires workshop exploring textile computing, embroidery and sound-making through reflective storytelling and e-textiles.
With a background in creative computing, Sandy’s practice intersects embodiment, sound and performance to create playful and surprising interactive experiences. In this hands-on workshop, participants will embroider conductive textiles that can be plugged into Sandy’s Touching Wires synthesiser system to create sound, before taking home their own conductive embroidered memories.
Sunday 7 June
2pm-4pm
Hosted by at .platform
You can also catch Sandy performing with their Touching Wires synthesiser system the night before, at the vegetable.machine.animal gig on Saturday 6 June, joined by local legends including Reuben Ingall, Harland Rust and Feemer.
Bonus treat: if you grab a ticket to the gig first, you’ll get a discount on the workshop ticket.
