Hey hey!

So we're testing your seed ID skills (not deliberately) by accidentally packing some sweet peas seeds in snow peas packets.

Sweet peas are a flower and NOT EDIBLE! Their seeds are round and a dark brown or black. About the size of a pin head.

Snow peas seeds are the size of peas and a light brown colour. They could also be wrinkly.

So! If you have recently bought a packet of snow peas seeds from us , take a clear pic and send it to us, telling us which one you think it is!

If you do indeed have sweet peas instead of snow peas, we can also arrange to get the snow peas to you!

Did you accidentally grow a giant zucchini (or two, or five) this summer? 🌼🌿

If yes - we want your seeds!!🫘

Our seed library is CRITICALLY LOW on zucchini, so we're on the hunt for YOUR SEEDS, straight from your BIGGEST and happiest zucchinis!

Got seeds for us? Come along to our bi-annual 🌼 Seed Swap🌼 at Canberra City Farm on 🌿Saturday 2 May🌿 and exchange your homegrown seeds for FREE SEEDS from our library!

Or you can drop off your seeds at one of our weekly Seed Sorting days, Tuesdays 10-12 at Canberra City Farm in the LESS Building.🫘

HOW?
Don't know how to harvest zucchini seeds? It's one of the easiest! Just slice the zucc lengthways, scoop out the soft middle flesh, and then just squeeze or pluck out the seeds! Here's a short video for the visual learners: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/q4xCViFZXoU

Remember: a zucc is ready to be harvested when you can't dent the skin with your fingernail. (At this point your giant zucc is actualy called a "marrow")
