This Friday, we will be saying goodbye to Kellese as she embarks on an exciting new journey.
Kellese has been a valued member of the Goodstart Canning Vale – Campbell Road team for the past 3 and a half years. During her time with us, she successfully completed both her traineeship and Diploma qualification, demonstrating dedication, passion, and a commitment to continuous growth.
It has been a pleasure watching Kellese develop her skills and confidence as an educator. We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved.
While we are sad to see her leave our centre, we are thrilled that she will continue her journey with Goodstart, taking on the role of Senior Educator at another centre. This is a wonderful opportunity, and we know she will make a positive impact on her new team and the children in her care.
Please join us in congratulating Kellese on this exciting next chapter and wishing her all the very best for the future. 💙🌟

We understand how hard it is to find a centre that truly ticks all your boxes.
Every family wants a place where their child feels safe, supported, and genuinely cared for — and where parents feel confident that their little one is learning, growing, and thriving at every stage.
At Goodstart Canning Vale – Campbell Road, we’re proud to offer nurturing, high‑quality programs across Nursery, Toddlers, and Kindy, each designed to support children through their unique developmental milestones.
🌼 Nursery
A warm, gentle environment where babies build secure relationships, explore through sensory play, and develop early communication and social skills.
🌱 Toddlers
A space full of curiosity, movement, and discovery. Toddlers learn to express themselves, build friendships, develop independence, and explore the world through play.
🌟 Kindy
A rich, play‑based program that builds confidence, independence, early literacy and numeracy skills, and prepares children beautifully for big school.
Across every room, our educators focus on creating a sense of belonging, supporting emotional wellbeing, and celebrating each child’s unique journey.
✨ And for our Kindy families, we also offer fortnightly bookings, giving you added flexibility while still ensuring your child receives consistent, high‑quality learning experiences.

Exploring Indigenous Art and Symbols
Our Indigenous play space in the Kindy Room provides children with opportunities to explore and appreciate traditional Aboriginal art and storytelling. Through drawing in the sand, children were encouraged to experiment with Indigenous symbols, patterns, and markings while developing their creativity and fine motor skills.
We discussed how Aboriginal people have shared stories, knowledge, and connections to Country through symbols and artwork for thousands of years. Taking turns, the children enjoyed drawing a variety of Indigenous symbols in the sand tray, exploring different patterns and meanings as they created their own designs.
This experience encouraged cultural awareness, respect, and curiosity while providing a hands-on way for children to engage with Indigenous perspectives and artistic expression.

✈️ A Special Visit from a Pilot! ✈️
Our Kindy friends were very lucky to welcome a real-life pilot to our service a few weeks back! The children have been excitedly counting down the days until his visit, and they were eager to ask their many questions. Some children who weren't attending today even left questions behind for the pilot to answer.
During our mat session, the children showed excellent participation and engagement. We looked at different types of aeroplanes and explored a live flight map showing planes travelling all around the world. Nelson spotted a Qantas plane approaching our area, and together we counted down and listened carefully until we heard it fly overhead—what an exciting moment!
We also talked about where we have travelled, where our families come from, and where we were born. Using a globe, the children helped locate different countries around the world. One of the Kindy children impressed us with her knowledge of New Zealand and South Africa and remembered that we would need to fly across the Indian Ocean to travel from Australia to South Africa.
The children loved trying on the pilot's hat and passing around a pilot wings badge. Nelson also shared information about aviation and how many pilots developed their love of flying when they were children.
To finish, the children asked some fantastic questions. one asked what happens if a plane crashes, which led to an important discussion about how pilots complete lots of training and practice to keep everyone safe.
A big thank you to Nelson for sharing his time, knowledge, and passion for aviation with us. It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone! 🛫🌏💙

Food Allergy Week 2026 runs from 10–30 May, and is an important reminder for our community about the seriousness of food allergies and anaphylaxis.
At our centre, we understand how vital it is to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children. Food allergies can be life-threatening, so awareness, clear communication, and careful practices are essential in helping keep every child safe.
This week encourages everyone to learn more about food allergies, recognise the signs of an allergic reaction, and understand the importance of following allergy-safe procedures at all times.
Together, we can continue to build a safe, supportive environment where all children can learn, play, and thrive with confidence. 💙

We used cardboard boxes collected from the centre to create a fun and engaging stacking experience for the Nursery 2 children.
The children explored pulling apart tape and moving boxes, strengthening their fine motor skills and hand strength. Working together, they collaborated to build tall towers, developing their social skills, cooperation, and hand-eye coordination.
Through stacking different shapes and sizes, the children were also problem-solving, exploring balance, and learning about spatial relationships. There was lots of excitement when the towers came tumbling down, supporting their understanding of cause and effect.
A great hands-on experience that supported independence, concentration, and early STEM learning through play in Nursery 2.
