What’s the biggest myth about AI right now? πŸ€”

We asked Professor Ujwal Kayande at our recent AI Reality Check Breakfast alongside our Institute for Digital Innovation & AI (IDIA).

πŸŽ₯ Hear his perspective and what guests took away from a morning focused on evidence over opinion.

AI is everywhere right now, but how much of what we're hearing is actually backed by evidence?

That was the focus of this week's AI Reality Check Breakfast hosted by our Institute for Digital Innovation & AI, with Professor Ujwal Kayande.

A few key takeaways:

βœ”οΈ AI isn't broadly replacing jobs, but it is changing how work gets done.

βœ”οΈ AI can deliver real business value when it supports people, not simply replaces them.

βœ”οΈ The biggest challenge isn't AI itself, it's knowing when to trust it, challenge it and use good judgement.

In a world of AI hype, fear and viral headlines, the conversation was a timely reminder to look beyond opinion and focus on evidence.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a thoughtful discussion on one of the most important topics shaping the future of business!

We're proud to see Associate Professor Brandon Lee bringing his thinking to a wider audience! πŸŽ™οΈ

In his conversation with Lisa Leong on ABC's This Working Life, Brandon explores a question many organisations grapple with: why does strategy so often stall, even when the plan is sound?

The discussion unpacks the critical role middle managers play in turning strategy into action, and why their contribution is often underestimated.

If you're interested in strategy, leadership or organisational performance, it's 25 minutes well worth investing in!
