🌳🌿 Kinder 1 Park Excursions 🌿🌳
Our Kinder 1 children have been enjoying regular excursions to the local park, providing opportunities to explore their community, build confidence and engage in active learning beyond the centre environment.
During our walks and park visits, children develop road safety awareness, strengthen gross motor skills, practise turn-taking and cooperation, and build connections with the world around them. These experiences encourage curiosity, independence and a sense of belonging within their local community.
We love seeing the children challenge themselves, make discoveries and create lasting memories through these meaningful learning experiences. 💚

There is something special about quiet moments with a book.
Through stories that celebrate Aboriginal culture and language, children are developing a sense of belonging, curiosity, and understanding of the rich histories and perspectives of First Nations peoples. Storytelling supports literacy, imagination, and meaningful conversations about the world around us.
At Hall Road, we create spaces where children can explore, wonder, and connect through books.

🎉 Day of Play at Goodstart Carrum Downs – Hall Road 🎉
Today we celebrated the incredible power of play and the important role it has in children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Through play, children explored a range of experiences that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, communication, imagination and critical thinking. From investigating bugs in our science space, exploring nature and plant growth, engaging in dramatic play with vehicles and animals, expressing themselves through art, and building connections through shared experiences, every play opportunity supported meaningful learning.
Play helps children make sense of the world around them, develop confidence, build friendships and strengthen the skills they need for lifelong learning.
At Goodstart Carrum Downs – Hall Road, we believe children learn best when they are engaged, curious and having fun. 🌱🚗🐞🎨📚

At Goodstart Hall Road, we believe strong communities are built through care, kindness, and connection.
Our Community Pantry has been created to support families by providing access to everyday pantry items and essentials. Families are welcome to take what they need, when they need it, in a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space.
We know that sometimes everyone needs a little extra support, and together as a community, we can help make a difference. Families are also welcome to contribute non-perishable items if they are in a position to do so.
Because at Hall Road, caring for one another is part of who we are. 💛

Every mark tells a story.
Recently, children have been using drawing and mark making to represent the people who are special to them, creating pictures of their families and sharing who is important in their world. Through these meaningful conversations, children are developing confidence in expressing ideas, building communication skills, and strengthening their sense of identity and belonging.
Drawing experiences like these also support early literacy, creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression. Each line, shape, and scribble reflects growing imagination and individuality.
At Hall Road, we value children as capable communicators and create opportunities for them to express themselves in ways that are meaningful to them. 💛

Learning on Bunurong Land 🌿🖤💛❤️
At Hall Road, we are proud to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday learning.
Our learning space invites children to explore Bunurong Country, local animals, language, and connection to place through hands-on experiences, natural materials, and meaningful conversations. By learning about the land we play and grow on, children are developing respect, understanding, and a strong sense of belonging.
Together, we are learning to listen, connect, and walk respectfully alongside culture and community.
