Our week ended with yet another success for EHPS! Congratulations to our girls soccer and netball teams who won their PSSA inter school competition today. This program is one of our many offerings for high potential students. https://eppinghts-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/learning-and-support/high-potential-and-gifted-education.
We also wish our P&C all the best for their band camp this weekend. We are fortunate to have such dedicated parents who provide such wonderful opportunities for our children.

2C shared a lovely story called ‘Teacup’ at assembly. They made beautiful teacups as part of our art program and wrote special messages about their values. We are proud that our students reflect the values in our school song…Our school’s a place of caring and sharing.https://resource.scholastic.com.au/resourcefiles/8358971_30909.pdf

Our library is the hub of the school. It is a busy and vibrant space where students can further develop their love of reading. Students are also explicitly taught research skills and the discerning use of online information to support them to be safe, respectful and responsible digital citizens.

Thank you to the 44 parents who joined us at P&C online last night to hear about Assessment and Reporting at our school. We are grateful to have such strong community interest and support. The P&C meets second Tuesday of every month (during school terms). In addition to gathering valuable feedback and opinions, they also support the Principal and executive team to share information on topics of interest.

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) meet each week to share ideas and work together to make our school an even better place. Student voice and agency is highly valued at EHPS. This week the SRC showed that we are ‘All in’ for Reconciliation Week. https://www.reconciliation.org.au/our-work/national-reconciliation-week/

Congratulations to our Stage 3 Debating Team who won their second round against Warrawee Public School. The theme was 'Media' and the topic was 'All children under the age of 12 should never be allowed to use smartphones' . Epping Heights were the affirmative side and we were successful in winning in a very close debate. Today’s speakers were from both year 5 and 6 and for two of them, it was their first ever debate. Well done to our team- Ibrahim (4/5L), Grace (6G), Emily (6G), Zoe (5BP) and Dhriti (6G). Debating is one of the many enrichment programs at our school https://eppinghts-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/learning-and-support/high-potential-and-gifted-education
