When you think of EDS, which studio comes to mind first?
Was it our beautiful church hall in Richmond, where it all began?
Or perhaps Dancehouse in Carlton North, where we spent a brief but special chapter of our journey?
Maybe it’s Brunswick East, where we finally found a space that allowed us to run classes six days a week and grow our incredible community?
Or is it our current Brunswick home, lovingly renovated and transformed into the studio we know and love today?
Every studio has its own memories, milestones, friendships, and dance moments. While our locations have changed over the years, one thing has remained the same: our amazing EDS community.
Tell us in the comments:Which EDS studio do you think of first, and what’s your favourite memory from that space?
We’d love to hear your stories and see how many generations of EDS dancers are here with us today.
As the long weekend approaches, we’d like to let everyone know our opening hours. We’ll be open on Saturday, 6 June, and closed on Monday, 8 June. We hope you enjoy the long weekend! 💛
At this point it wouldn’t be an EDS Concert without some kind of giant inflatable chaos running around the studio.
This year’s special guest? A very fabulous giraffe who loves to dance.
Now the real question is… can you guess which concert this lovely giraffe will be appearing in?
AND most importantly… what name shall we give her?
Drop your concert guesses and giraffe name ideas in the comments below.
Last night our EDS students had the incredible opportunity to participate in a Sydney Dance Company Contemporary Workshop, learning repertoire from Love Lock choreographed by Melanie Lane.
Fast paced, high energy and full of detail, the workshop challenged our dancers while giving them insight into the choreographic task work used to create the work.
These experiences are what make training at EDS so special. We’re passionate about providing opportunities that inspire, challenge and extend our students beyond the studio.
Want to be part of opportunities like this? Join the EDS community today.
