🌏 World Environment Day 🌏

Our Grade 1/2 and Grade 3 students celebrated World Environment Day yesterday by making an environmental pledge and created a My World activity.

Students shared their favourite place in the world, favourite plant and animal and reflected on how they feel about our planet. Through these activities, they explored the importance of caring for the environment and the role we all play in protecting it for the future. 💚

Reconciliation Week

Our P/1, 1/2 and Grade 3 students worked together to create this beautiful Hand in Hand display for Reconciliation Week.

Through their artwork, students explored the importance of respect, unity and walking together towards a shared future.

Update on the old canteen!!

Welcome to the KHPS Pantry & Community Hub!!! 🪴✨️🌞

The fundraising team have been hard at work clearing more space, painting & working in the background to create a way to utilise the space to have an inviting, warm & inclusive community room.

The fundraising team are excited to announce that for our school families, we are opening a community pantry within the room.
Anyone from our school can access the pantry themselves on days we open. Schedule TBC.

We will have shelf stable food available.
Availability will fluctuate.

There will be other resources and other special finds. These will be advertised on the private Karingal Heights PS families page.

In the mean time, we do have some donated bags of food that we can hand out to anyone from KHPS.

Please feel free to reach out to the following school mums - Roh, Ashlee or Jessie for help from the community pantry.

Or we have a great resource via Sarah, who works for Anglicare.
She works at KHPS 3 days a week and we are working very closely with her to be able to run the pantry with their support.

We will be running a food drive in the near future 🥫

Lastly, for anyone needing help or to have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee (when the room opens).
This is a safe space and will be confidential.

We look forward to sharing the room with the KHPS community and working together.

🎨 Our students have been busy creating these amazing Pete Cromer inspired collage artworks!

Using bright colours, shapes and plenty of imagination, our young artists explored creativity and individuality through their unique animal designs. We are so proud of the effort, creativity and confidence shown in every piece on display! 🖌️✨

A wonderful showcase of artistic talent across our primary school classrooms — well done everyone! 👏🏻🌈

Today we recognised and celebrated our incredible Education Support staff! 🌟
