A huge congratulations to Talyn and Zara (Yr 11), who achieved **Second Place** at the 2026 State Final of the Shakespeare Carnival for NSW.
The Shakespeare Carnival encourages students to get up and get active, creating their own theatrical worlds through directing short films, composing music, choreographing dance and physical theatre pieces, and performing scenes and short works inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.
This outstanding achievement reflects Talyn and Zaraβs creativity, dedication, and passion for the performing arts. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing their talents continue to flourish.

What an incredible evening of music, memories, and outstanding performances at our 2026 Music Showcase: Number 1 Hits!
Audiences were taken on a journey through the songs that defined generations β from timeless classics of the past to chart-topping favourites of today. From the brilliance of Chopin to unforgettable modern hits, our talented performers celebrated the music that has topped charts and shaped the soundtrack of our lives.
A huge congratulations to all of our students and staff who brought this spectacular showcase to life, and thank you to our families and community for your wonderful support. It was an evening to remember! π€β¨

Our annual APGS Pyjama Day took place on Tuesday, May 26th, with students and staff coming to school in their comfiest school-appropriate PJs for the day π΄β¨
π°π§ Thank you to everyone who brought along delicious baked goods and supported the event!
All proceeds from the bake sale went to the Womenβs and Girlsβ Emergency Centre, helping support those experiencing hardship and domestic violence.
Thank you to our school community for making the day such a fun and meaningful event β it was wonderful seeing everyone in their comfy PJs! π©·

ππ Congratulations to Year 7 students Nora and Indigo on their incredible success at the Inner West Drama Eisteddfod!
Competing in the Duologue in Costume section for the 11β12 years age group, Nora and Indigo were awarded π₯ First Place for their moving performance of a mother-and-daughter scene from Romeo & Juliet.
After months of rehearsing and mastering their Shakespearean piece, the girls delivered an outstanding performance that earned wonderful praise from the adjudicator for both their performance quality and delivery.
We are so proud of their dedication, talent, and hard work. Congratulations, Nora and Indigo, on this fantastic achievement!

A huge thank you to alumna Taneisha King for sharing her artistry and cultural knowledge with our Year 9 & 10 Dance students. Taneisha led an inspiring workshop introducing our students to contemporary Aboriginal dance as part of their unit on Dance as Cultural Expression. From the stories and protocols of the Dharawal people to Taneishaβs own choreographic process exploring her connection to Country; it was a meaningful and memorable experience for all.

π§ββοΈ What a hilarious night with our APGS Senior Drama students!
Their performance of *10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse* by Don Zolidis had audiences laughing from start to finish with outrageous survival strategies, over-the-top characters, unexpected twists, and nonstop chaos.
Our talented senior drama students worked incredibly hard to bring this fast-paced comedy to life, and they did an amazing job showcasing their creativity, confidence, and performance skills on stage.
