🚨📉 Can a 482 Nomination Be Approved with Low Business Turnover? 🇦🇺✅

❌ Low business turnover does not automatically mean a 482 nomination will be refused.

We recently secured approval for a Chef 482 nomination in South Australia where the sponsoring business had relatively low turnover.

📈 The key was demonstrating that the business was growing, revenue was expected to increase, and there was a genuine need for the position.

Many people focus on turnover alone. However, the Department assesses the overall circumstances of the business and the strength of the evidence provided.

💡 Every case is different. A lower turnover business can still achieve a positive outcome when the nomination is properly prepared and supported.

🚨 RNs on 75 Points — Time to Pay Attention

Yesterday's 189 invitation round appears to have favoured Registered Nurses with 80+ points.

Although official invitation data is yet to be released, many RN applicants sitting at 75 points, including several of our own clients with Date of Effect as early as January 2026, did not receive invitations.

Will 75 points be enough next financial year? Nobody can say for certain.

What we do know is that competition is increasing, and relying on future invitation trends is a risky strategy.

If you have an opportunity to increase your points through English, partner points, work experience, NAATI, or another pathway, now may be the time to act.

Every point matters. Every opportunity counts.

Waiting for a 189 invitation?

Remember, the Subclass 189 visa is one of the most straightforward invitation pathways.

✅ Invitations are primarily based on your EOI points score
✅ If points are tied, the earlier Date of Effect gets priority (the date you reached your claimed points)

Unlike many state nominations, there is:
❌ No salary ranking
❌ No skilled partner priority
❌ No superior English priority beyond the points claimed

Now is the time to double-check your EOI and make sure everything is accurate before invitations are issued.
